My best friend and I bonded over Final Fantasy. We knew every game, played every game. He took his own life in December and things just haven't been the same since. I listened to this song that day and the melody and theme of it just felt like such a perfect send off to my friend. It made me cry. And I don't cry a lot. RIP Alex. You were one of a kind. We all still miss you here.

Every time I feel like I’ve lost control of the narrative of my life I come back to this song. It reminds me that there is a deep-seated strength inside all of us. That life has a dignity and elegance that can’t be stripped away by our failures and tribulations. Fight on everyone, fight on.

I have no idea how Uematsu managed to come up with something thats such a short phrase really, but in actual fact it conveys an amazing array of emotions and themes. Purity. Faith. Sadness. Loyalty. Tragedy... The list can go on and on.

The story of FF2 is surprisingly dark. Really took me off-guard when I first played it. Would love to see a full remake of it, unlikely as it may be for it to happen.

Final Fantasy II was a masterpiece. Honestly it is on debate for my top 3, beautiful music, a story that is real, and characters that I won't personally forget.

I'm in tears whenever Distant Worlds end the Final Fantasy Medley with this song. It truly is beautiful, and even though I know that they are going to end it on this song I still feel so overwhelmed.

One of the most beautiful (and chivalrous, I guess) FF themes ever. It feels like a national anthem. You hear it and you're ready to go fight for your country. Also, am I the only one who can hear Luke's Theme from Star Wars in this section: 0:41?

all of us can agree that Uematsu can fill our hearts with feelings just by listening to his music, everything he made can give us a mental image of our feelings torwards the song.
