Ottoman days in autumn We took a flight on a weekend off of work and it worked out that we landed in a city of two tales. Tales of east and west connected by a channel of water with history unable to be washed away and away we went down its paths and over its bridges until we were changed by the people that held its history out of for us like the waving flags above the square…dressed in red. Food and friends flying high above the clouds of the straight, straight on through we kept on and on we went into small cafes eating delicacies unknown in our hometowns but this was our home for a few days. Days now gone but never leaving my mind. I’ll be there again if there’s time to spend away from the offices that now bid us back again and again to produce the things that give us time to spend away again. ottoman days in autumn as the sun sets behind the clouds and the lights come out to join people from around the globe who celebrate the situation with kebab and dancing in the cobblestones streets leading to alleys of delight, try a Turkish delight and you just might like something you never tried. It opened my eyes to worlds untouched. And now I’ve been touched in a way that brought new light to my eyes. I hope the same for you.
