  • for me, this is the most moving musical scene/amazing singer/professional puppetry I have ever experienced in opera
  • lucky to see this in NY with Kristine in 2016, we moved to the center standing rail at the mezzanine for final act and people were sobbing. This whole production was amazing and I became a fan of hers that day after. She said working with the Bunraku puppet allowed her to focus fully on her finale while sometimes small child actors get freaked out or can be unpredictable during this dramatic scene, thanks for this, ✌️
  • It's so emotional. Extremely emotional. I would like to go to the theatre here in Gran Canaria to see Madama Butterfly. I have watched this performance through this channel, because I love opera. As a Classical singing student I have to learn so many things, and that includes interpreting all feelings depending on the piece I sing. I also learn Italian and German to know what I am saying on the text given. I speak English, French, a bit of German, a bit of Italian and I'm learning Modern Greek by myself. In opera you have to sing in different languages, that's why I must revise everything I have learned for so long. Regards from Gran Canaria in the Spanish Canary Islands.

She is amazing but figurants late at all time, first they brought the kid so late, she has already taken her position for sing and figurants couldn’t put the puppet on time and exactly where it has to stay., even there was a distance she tried to reach out with emotions, and The Blood seen, they’re late again and lights not enough, waving not enough. I’ve seen on that seen, her performance acting and singing was amazing but she is victimised cause of the equip… but congratulations. Especially final of the opera, such a most difficult point that you’ve done your best dear lady. Bravissimo ✨☀️💐❤️

I really love her singing and her interpretation but the puppet does break the emotional appeal of the scene. Sorry to say but it is not good for my personal taste.

  • One would have to have a heart of stone not to be moved by the death of Madame Butterfly. Puccini manages to pull every heart string.
