As a new North Long Beach resident right next to the site for the Beat, I'm really looking forward to it! I bought my home at the end of December 2021.. the first couple months had been mostly peaceful but unfortunately it seems the crime has really skyrocketed quickly the past few weeks specifically; hearing gunshots most nights now, etc. LBPD really needs to flood NLB with patrols, cameras, etc. to get the crime out. Hard to get excited for development for bars, etc. when you hear gunshots frequently. Still.. I've personally bet on development here. And I'm actually getting permits right now for an addition to my house.
  • Great info. I’m in search of architects that have done a few ADU’s in Long Beach. Any recommendations?

What do you think of Santa Clarita Valley? Would it be a good area for an investment property as well?

It would help drive home sales significantly if the schools were better rated.

North long Beach is pretty scary still you have to remember they still and going to have Carmelitos Housing Project in long Beach and its not going to change that. just it look up it in YouTube I think it will take more then 10 years befor this will even start to look good I wish that the governor and city will really do police drive around the place to really clean up this places and not just say it and show only for 2 weeks clean up then back to what it was north long beach is the type where you live there but do all ur entertainment and shopping outside of North lb sad but wish it was the other way around
