N scale Atlas RS-1 Keeps Stalling

I go to work on my layout and when I am done you have me doing it! Now it's time to run some trains! Lol.

I have one of these engines and I run DC.When I bought the engine it would stall. I installed new brushes and then when running it would stall consistently. What was interesting was, if I ran the engine without the shell and the plastic tank piece on the bottom it would run fine. However, I would put the plastic tank piece on and the shell and it would stall and run poorly. I would have to adjust the frame screws just right and it would run ok. It is still a work in progress but I love the detail and I only paid $40 for this little gem. Great videos!

Aluminum, copper and magnesium are alloyed with Zinc. Different grades contain different %. Its been a long time since I have heard that name. Great looking locomotive. Thanks for sharing. Dave

They used to make DCC that would fit in place of both o the led lights for thise types of frames! Dont know if they still make them? Also, on my railroad, I run everything short hood forward! 😊
