9 Things to do in OSAKA with Kids at EXPO PARK | Japan Travel Guide

EXPOCITY can be reached by train, it's roughly an hour north from Osaka. It's an EPIC outdoor entertainment, dining and shopping complex that's home to the TeamLab-like NIFREL Aquazoo, Lalaport shopping mall, Gundam Cafe, CNN Cafe, a huge park that's a hot spot for cherry blossom viewing in early spring, VS Park arcade and sports centre, the Redhorse Osaka Ferris Wheel, and drum rolls Japan's first KFC buffet restaurant. It will also be the venue of the 2020 Strider Cup.
We spent an entire day exploring the nooks and crannies of Expo Park - one of the best things to do in Osaka with kids. By the end of the day, we had only gotten around to 9 of Expo Park's best Osaka attractions - we definitely needed more time to stroll through the Expo 1970 Commemorative Park to get a closer view of the iconic Tower of the Sun monument. Oh well, next time.
We highly recommend EXPOCITY as one of the best places to visit in Osaka for families - kids will love roaming through the Gundam Cafe at Gundam Square, jumping on the toddler-friendly rides at ANIPO animal amusement park, and of course, dining at Osaka's KFC buffet restaurant.

Aquazoo looks amazing, that tiger is so cute!! I'll be at the Lalaport mall for the dining part haha! Dang I want to ride at Anipo! Yea Tina what are you eating at KFC?!?!?! Japan's greens are expensive I heard, so not many greens on their dishes. Some locals even plant their own vegetables at home.
