I'm sad that interviewers always ask about John but not about George :(
-
Imagine sitting in a movie theatre, watching Yesterday, and turning around to see Paul McCartney. I would start questioning my sanity.
-
I love that everyone is dead silent when he’s speaking
-
“Yeah, I have a lot of dreams about John… and they’re always good.” It’s so genuinely comforting to hear him say that.
-
Notice how everyone is silent when he speaks Admiring a legend
-
"Then i found music and....John" this is so touching.
-
John and Paul had what could be argued as the most important friendship in music history. That is not hyperbole.
-
I will never forget this. I was watching the news coverage of an NYC march for gun control and Sir Paul McCartney was speaking to the reporter. The reporter asked him why he was interested in gun control in America and he said, "Well, in 1980 my best friend was killed right up the street, so....". Broke my heart to hear him say that.

The man is near 80 and still cheeky and witty the same way he was when he was in his 20s the world would be a different place if this guy didn’t exist what an absolute treasure he is
-
Stephen Colbert has finally found out that Yesterday came to Paul McCartney in a dream. Now the last person on earth to find out has been told.
-
The Beatles are like an old friend...I can't imagine life without them
-
Does anyone know else feel that it’s incredible guys like this are still with us in the 2020’s. An absolute icon of long ago. It’s like a time paradox. Like sitting down with George Washington and being able to ask him anything you want.
-
After all these years, and Paul still has his signature "y'know"
-
Stephen: Do you ever write songs in your dreams? Every single Beatles fan: *sigh* ah shit here we go again
-
It's sad to think that Paul questioned whether he and John were friends. Having watched Get Back, they were clearly the very best of friends. That sort of deep, passionate friendship that you only experience a handful of times throughout your life.
-
Paul often talks about his dreams in interviews, meeting his mother, talking to John. He is a prolific dreamer. I find it touching when you look to Imagine "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one"
-
Imagine going 40 years without seeing your best friend except in dreams. Such a beautiful friendship. I know Paul thinks about him all the time.
-
“do you ever write songs in your dreams?” paul: i woke up one morning- every beatles fan: ight imma head out
-
I love Paul because he’s still so normal and it’s not all about him!

This is such a sad yet sweet interview, its so wholesome to hear McCartney talk about his relationship with Lennon and his mother and his music, warms my heart
