This is Why You Should Storyboard! (StudioBinder)

Published 2022-10-05
Pre-production is production, without it, your film will suffer. One of the most important aspects of pre-production is storyboarding, especially when you have a higher end shoot. When storyboarding, make sure you have a clear idea of how you want each shot. So you will typically want to storyboard after you have written a treatment and script. I usually write out a rough story board and send it over to a more talented artist to finalize it for me. Once I have all of the finished panels, I organize them into a shot list on Studiobinder then print that shot list out o bring on shoot day. Having this tangible, hard copy of the shot list is a game changer and will guide you on shoot day.
