Place a make up cotton pad inside your eye shadow and face compact powders. This will help prevent the powder from cracking if dropped.

Please dont get discouraged by PEOPLE who are being negative. Your videos have helped so many people travel without a worry . ❤
  • I create a TRAVEL photo album on my phone and take pics of all my docs and boarding passes, passport and such. Should I not have wifi while travelling, I can easily access the items. I also email same items to myself, they are accessible anywhere in the world.
  • @ruthhurley800
I no longer carry a travel blanket and pillow. I wear or pack in my personal item bag a sweater or jacket and a Turkish towel, which is very lightweight. If I get cold on the plane I roll up one item for a neck pillow and wear or cover up with the other item.
  • I didn't know you were a teacher ! I understand now why you explain so well and so clearly ❤
  • Your videos have taught me so much - after not having taken a plane in over 20 years, I am now prepared for an upcoming trip to another continent! Thank you so much, Laurie!
  • One thing I always take along is a roll of blue painter's tape, which (among other thing) serves the same purpose as your post it notes. I also use it to cover the inside of the peephole in the door.

Love your tips and hacks. I have a tip for fellow travelers that may have food sensitivities. I have experienced flights where GF options were sold out. I use a steel, thermos type water bottle, chill it in the freezer and add snacks to it, like individual packs of cheese, some celery and carrot sticks, cherry tomatoes, etc. I open it at security and briefly explain I have snack foods in it. I’ve never had a problem at security and the food has been a blessing when connections are delayed.

On two recent NCL trips the cruise line advised us to bring our own extension cords because they often run out. We went ahead and bought a device that has a short extension cord and has four electric outlets and three USB ports. Amazon sells them.

I just thought of another tip, Laurie. Here in Canada, our virtual monopoly airline industry is far more dysfunctional than yours, and I always pack my personal item on the assumption that they will make me gate check my carry on and lose it, and my personal item will be all I have with me for the trip. One way to maximize what I can fit in it is to have a minimalist bare essentials toiletry kit (the one I keep in my EDC bag) which I put in my personal item, then I put my main toiletries kit in my carry on case. That way, if they do lose my case, I at least have my toothbrush, meds, contacts, and some other small necessities, while I have made more space in the personal item bag for another outfit or two.

Laurie, the 5 of us just returned from 10 days in Italy. After watching your videos, and reading the viewer comments, we were so prepared. We did carry on only, thank goodness because all our air b&bs had lots of stairs. Looking forward to more videos. Thank you again. 😘✈️🍷🍕☕️😊

So proud of you and your channel getting to 200K. Let's go 500K!! Congratulations from a long time subscriber.
  • Laurie, I use the same foundation and found the sample containers from the Clinique counters hold's weeks worth of foundation. Saves me space and increases the amount of liquid I can bring.

Your tips were so helpful for my trip to Spain last week! Thank you! One crazy hack I used there was that it was hot so I only had a light sweater. Not wanting to wear it while watching tv in bed at night when the air conditioning was so cool, I used one of the hotel’s big thick towels as a shawl!! 😊
  • Congrats Laurie on hitting 200K subscribers. Love all your tips and tricks. It sure makes travelling easier. Have a glorious 4th of July.

Haven't flown in 8 years so I'm very rusty & I've been binge watching your videos. TY so much for all of your invaluable info/tips. ❤
  • I like to bring home the hotel bottles of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and will remove the liquid products that are in those bottles. I then fill up the bottles with my preferred products when at home, and pack in my travel pouches for our next trip!!
  • We pack a couple motion sensor lights so when the hotel room is dark, if I have to get up in the night, it helps guide the way. We also use them at home.

I am glad to see I am not the only one having issues with precheck. I follow all the signs that say leave your belt, jacket and shoes on. And I still have to take off my belt, my shoes, and jacket. My travel partner that did not have precheck was waiting on me to get out of the line.
