Politics aside, we should be fighting for all detained americans.

Some of these comments show sheer ignorance! First of all, it was a multi-country prisoner swap and not just between US and Russia. Overall, during this administration, Biden has been able to secure the release of 70 Americans from around the world. This swap was just the latest. Some of those recently released were detained only last year. Several of our European Allies (that some people don't want US to deal with anymore) also worked with us for this swap to happen. I think it's pretty impressive that it actually happened this fast, considering how long these talks and deals can take.

This is overwhelmingly heartwarming and emotional. Can we please just unite as a country behind good deeds?

I am proud to see this day when my fellow Americans come home. Congratulations to those who struggled to make this a reality. Welcome Home!

Let's not forget what a great president Joe Biden is. He created that moment for those families but them stepped back and made it about them. Can you imagine how the man in orange would have handled that moment? He would have made it about Trump and not the darling children hearing the voices of their parents for the first time in years and knowing they would soon be together again.
