i love the bear claw it adds so much style to the gun belt. the only downside is that because it effects core drain time. its harder to keep a good weight with it because you almost never get the proper dings when eating because it drains so little compared to the base game experience.

For the kompass just go accept the mission and take it, if the door is close, reload , the door will be open
