*I lost 120 pounds in 2018 on a Carnivore Diet, I maintained that in 2019. In 2020 I struggled with some weight gain and then lost it again in 2021. For the last few years I have been maintaining a healthy weight. In December 2022 I had skin removal surgery (tummy tuck). This channel just documents all of that journey and how our family lives normal lives and eats a meat based diet.

On June 19th I will be carnivore for nine months! I've reversed fatty liver, type 2 diabetes and diverticulitis. I've lost 45 pounds, no more bursitis no more arthritis, no more bleeding gums, no more being winded, I can exercise and breathe through my nose while I climb stairs!! I turned 60 in March This is best I've felt since my forties!! I'm carnivore for life!!!
  • @nanaobx
Today is day 100 of carnivore. I'm 69, and weight loss is slow, but I feel so much better. My 72 year old hubby is on this journey with me. He's lost 20 pounds, and I've lost 18. You two have been such an inspiration!

    1. no sugar, carnivore diet, no fruit, no carbs; 2.low intense activity, walk, 45m to 1 hour, etc; 3. fasting, 1 meal per day, longer ones up to 72 hours. 36 to 48 hours fasting each week.

Great video ! Thank you for breaking this down. A doctor telling me I was pre-diabetic last July was the wake up call I needed. I have lost 50lbs so far and my fasting glucose has gone from 117 to 101. I have started fasting to kick things up a notch 😊. I am so glad I found you guys.

I was diagnosed in February of this year as type two diabetes. I basically hit bread on the head, stopped eating sweets and stopped adding sugar to coffee. I also cut down on coffee. I started eating more fish less red meat. I now prepare more stuff from Scratch, and don’t eat processed crap. I also have a handy up which I use which is free called YUKA. It’s available in the App Store and also in android. I was 14 stone 8 lb and I’m now just under 13 stone. My haemoglobin count was 112 and I managed to reduce that first to 62 and then to 45. Within the last week the diabetic nurse has reduced me down from two 500 mg Metformin per day to one 500 mg metformin per day with another review due in 11 weeks time. Hopefully by the end of the year, I can come fully off the Metformin. I also find that hydrating is easier by having a water bottle filled with water and into that put sliced lime.

You guys have inspired me I’ve lost a 100lbs doing carnivore NO it hasn’t been easy but thank you both!!!!
  • @sahmof7
Thankful your husband turned his health around and is still here with you! Seeing those hospital pictures 😢 That was us 2 months ago...not diabetes for my husband though, instead cancer. Sure makes you not take a single moment with them for granted. ❤

Awe you got emotional for a second ! So cute .. it’s nice to see a couple that have been through a lot and came out healthier !
  • Not diabetic but probably insulin resistant, and doctor tells me I'm hypertensive and wants me on medication. Not happening. The weight has to come off. I took a promotion and have an hour lunch now, so I'm either in the company gym doing body weight and Pilates or out walking the company property. Finished the last of the vegetables in my fridge tonight. Stocked up yesterday on meat, eggs, butter, some cheese. Made your meatballs for dinner, and had those with some air fried shrimp dipped in the rest of the crushed pork rinds. I've tried literally everything to lose the weight over the last few years, and this is the first thing I've tried that doesn't feel like a deprivation diet. Everyday feels like a cheat meal! I can do this!

I have also reversed my type 2 diabetes. I see my doc and can't wait to go...it's been a long time. I have lost 93 lbs, smallest I've been since middle school. My a1c was checked this past week and it was 5.1.
  • I enjoyed this video and appreciate your husband’s story. I am a diagnosised diabetic for over 15 years. This was difficult however the worst part was kidney issues. I was told in early March this year to prepare for dialysis. No way! So right after my 67th birthday on 3/27, I converted to carnivore…2 weeks slowly. Have done great, 35 lbs gone. My biggest issue now is walking. I have Charcot foot disease due to neuropathy and am not allowed to walk too much anymore. I do get into my pool everyday…I live in Florida. That is my “walking” and it’s all working great! I have about a 1/3 of my kidney function back and off insulin now after only 2 1/2 months!! I am so encouraged by you and that I found your videos, plus Dr Berry, and turned my life around!!❤ Thank you!! 🎉

A1C going from 11.6 to 4.9 is amazing! Congrats and thank you for sharing your journey to healthy living, the natural and right way! Awesome content!
  • I am so grateful that you two choose to share your journey with us. You have helped inspire me the last several months and I have become healthier this past year. I’m 54 and this way of eating cured something that some people are too embarrassed to discuss….. severe vaginal dryness. After menopause guess what….. we don’t have to fall apart! 😊 We can get healthier as we age and your mom is proof of that as well. God bless you and your beautiful family!

While all my blood markers a good, I (56) am extremely overweight and have begun my journey to lose the excess through a ketovore way of eating. I cannot begin to tell you how fasting (omad) has made such a big difference already (4 weeks in). Sure, the weight loss is great, but I feel fantastic. Much more alert, brain fog gone, my mood as drastically improved. Strange as it sounds, I feel alive. Truly believe fasting is a critical component to my road to a healthy body.
  • @forest989
Start out with a 15 minute walk daily and build it up. Exercise will not produce weight loss while you are insulin resistant. First step is to eliminate insulin resistance with intermittent fasting along with glucose control and elimination of grains and vegetable oils.
  • Change diet. Cut out carbs, salts, sugars. Excercise. I'm talking from experience
