Happy Birthday J3. Thank you guys for sharing all of these beautiful and awesome memories of him. My favorite memory of Jerry is seeing J3 for the very first time playing the piano. I’ve watched his development for sometime now and just to watch him playing at his recital was so special. Dee and Jerry, your beautiful 5 year old son is a reflection of the love that you both have for each other and instilled within him. He has really changed your lives for the better. Children are a blessing from God , and you both are cherishing your blessings. The tears you shed Dee are cheers of joy because you are grateful and thankful for your children. My son has changed and grown so much since he was diagnosed at 5. He is now 15. I cherish all things. He learned to tie his shoe this past summer. 😀

Happy Birthday J3! Dee & Jerry, I love your story and your growth. I had my son in June of 2013 and he was diagnosed as ASD around his 1st birthday. I remeber watching your videos before my sons diagnosis and thinking how similar my son was to J3. Even though in my heart I knew something was different and special about my son I could not stomach the thought. I never said anything because I saw the similarities in J3 so I would tell myself nothing was wrong. One day I had to work so I had his dad take my son to his check up. Im not sure what was said during the visit but the doctor called me the following day to have my son evaluated for possible autism. I felt so many emotions towards my sons father. I felt betrayed, hurt and I even felt he was trying to sabotage my parenting. I continued to watch your vlogs because that gave me hope. Fast forward my son was officially diagnosed. Mentally I broke down. I was working fulltime trying to run a retail store and I was a single parent at that. But I still continued to watch your vlogs because again they gave me hope. Finally you released a video saying that J3 had Autism and that's when everything begin to make since for me. Dee you inspired me to self teach my son as well as making sure he has therapy. Seeing my sons growth brings me to tears almost daily and randomly Lol. He went from grunting to actually speaking. One year all I wanted for my birthday was to hear my son say "mommy"! Now I get to hear it all day. You story gives me hope and empowers me to never give up and always GO HARD for my son and that's what I will always do! Until my son can fight for his self I'm going to fight until I dont have anything else in me to give! Im sorry for the long novel but I sincerely thank you for sharing your story and I needed to let you know that it has helped and touched so many in so many ways you may never know.
