Hi young lady. I have been doing nails 30 years and we’re never too old to learn new things. I wanted to give you a couple of compliments. 1) Ur background music is so relaxing. It’s one of the most relaxing I’ve heard in probably a good year. 2) I love your cuticle prep. I can tell a lot of ladies on YouTube doing nails are very young. When I was doing nails at your age, we didn’t have YouTube, we did not have anything other than go to cosmetology or just nail school or be smart and teach yourself by getting your nails done & over & over again. Every time I went to the shop, I asked questions and I paid attention. I’ve been wanting to do nails since I was probably seven years old. I used to take scotch tape put it on my nails and cut it to the shape I wanted it and then I paint it w/polish lol

Love ur work but when I found u on TikTok I loved how u did the French bc it is hard for me working with like one lg bead to make the smile line so I loved how u did them breaking it down by doing a small center then the sides n they turned out beautiful I’m sure this method is quicker but do u think u can do a video of ur old method for people like me that aren’t that good at acrylic French yet

Im self taught. Where I’m from, where I nail shops, they never did cuticle prep. And I didn’t go to chop shops, I went to local known small nail techs in a shop. But it would be just like a nail shop only. I learned by eventually realizing how important it was not just push the cuticles down, but to further use the sanding band to get the cuticle that was dead and any other leftover skin off of the nail because that’s all we knew where I’m from, Detroit. And that was in the early 90s. I never went anywhere where they used bits; all they used was the mandrel and the sanding bands. Never been to cosmetology school, but doing nails this long, we understand that prep is very crucial. I like longer videos if they’re at a good angle, so I would say keep up with the 45-50 minute videos and make sure your angles are good so we can see each side of the nail. That’s one thing I wish a lot of techs on TV would do more of… Is turn the nail to each side for everyone to see. It will def help ppl who need to be taught. I like the nail videos to show me side to side when applying. TFS
