WWE Champion and Cubs fan CM Punk sings the 7th inning stretch as the Cubs take on the Atlanta Braves on 5/8/12. Atlanta won the game 3 - 1 :(

This footage is not my property. It is owned by WGN, MLB, and the Cubs. I just wanted to share this with the fans.

I say let the rest of the country sing God Bless America in the 7th inning stretch, "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" will always be a Chicago tradition, RIP Harry Caray. We love you man!

let's also love the White Sox and give them credit the same way we do for the Cubs, they actually won a world series seven years ago. Although I gotta give the Cubs and its fans credit. Cubs haven't won a world series since 1908 but the fans love them anyway, no matter what.

haha that's awesome. He didn't do as bad as I thought he would, but even if he did, it's all in good fun. And something he'll always remember. Not many people get to say that did that during their lifetime. :)

People who criticize the singing of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" have no clue. You don't need to be a great singer to do the 7th inning stretch. Harry Caray couldn' sing. Just have some enthusiasm and keep a fair tempo (something some guests fail to do, speeding through it or mumbling). All you're doing is leading the fans who are singing with you. He did a great job. Also, remember, unlike many 'stars' who do this, Punk is actually a real fan and he admited being a little nervous.

That was just a "BOMB" minus the "Pipe" LOL

It's worth noting that, while singing something like this, you can't really hear yourself. Most of the singers who are in tune can sing just as well with instrumentation as they can acapella, but some people can't sing without the background to help them. CM Punk isn't a bad singer, he just probably couldn't hear the organ.

Well, I'm in love with CM but... Ummm... *bad poker face*
