  • "Swan Song," written by Chaewon, Sakura, Yunjin, and Kazuha, is an R&B-inspired track that draws inspiration from American R&B singer SZA. The song delves into themes of self-acceptance, resilience, and the determination to overcome challenges. In the first verse, Chaewon reflects on the various names she has been called, highlighting the idea of people addressing her with different identities. She compares herself to chocolate, acknowledging that she may be bitter but also sweet. Kazuha mentions her scars and how she has never stopped whipping through the pain, indicating her resilience. Sakura expresses that her dancing is a means of survival and emphasizes her secret identity as a swan, symbolizing grace and beauty. The chorus introduces the concept of the black swan, with Eunchae and Yunjin proclaiming themselves as black swans. They acknowledge the hardships they face while swimming against the current but declare their determination to continue and conquer the waves. Sakura and Chaewon add to the chorus, highlighting their ability to thrive and create flames even in the face of doubt. They see their song as one that will become history. In the second verse, Eunchae reflects on the countless days, nights, and tears she has experienced, admitting to moments of anxiety. Chaewon expresses her insatiable craving for love, despite receiving it, suggesting that her ambition and desire may be her downfall. Sakura urges the narrative to stop controlling her, while Kazuha strives to maintain an elegant facade despite feeling breathless like a swan diving. The post-chorus reaffirms their identification as black swans, emphasizing their uniqueness and resilience. In the bridge, Chaewon expects criticism and dismisses it as mere noise, asserting that she will continue to sing her song regardless. Yunjin interrupts, commanding others to watch her shine like a diamond and prove her abilities. The song concludes with a repetition of the chorus and post-chorus, emphasizing their determination to overcome challenges and leave a lasting impact. "Swan Song" celebrates individuality and resilience. The black swan symbolizes the members' ability to thrive in the face of adversity and criticism. The lyrics convey a sense of self-empowerment and the refusal to be defined by others' expectations. LE SSERAFIM's exploration of the R&B genre adds depth and emotional texture to the song, complementing the themes of self-acceptance and strength.

As a person who has listened to both Kill Bill and Swan song, I can say that it is not plagiarism. The instrumental version of both is different along with the vibe. Even in the part which many people claim to be an exact copy, the progression of the tune is different. They might have been inspired by it , but to call it a 'plagiarized work' is a huge stretch.
