Since he isn’t in the navy anymore, this man deserves the Medal of Heroism. If he was a Seal I wouldn’t be surprised he gets the Medal of Honor, this man deserves it. God bless him

The 2 little girls who almost got shot. How gut wrenching. I have a daughter and this brought chills down my spine.

Incredible heroism is on full display in the footage of Mr. Mattos being shot in the leg and nearly ran over by a tank as he was providing cover during the rescue of a young Iraqi girl. God bless you Mr. Mattos for your bravery and selflessness.

So glad you had Ephraim on the podcast. Read this book three years ago and just re-read it before listening. SO GOOD!

9:29 Oh my goodness. We went to the same church and school and everything. I don’t know Ephraim personally but I knew about him, the guy that joined the Navy Seals. And I met his brother Zeb at the time. Zeb was doing a lot of Christian missionary work for a while with an organization traveling to different countries. My mind is so blown right now I almost feel like I’m not sure if I should say anything hahaha.

I believe the point in broadening your vision is referencing your ability to literally change the focus of your eyeballs such that your eyes aren’t fixated on a single point, but you’ve essentially changed your vision to a more peripheral focus. This produces a relaxed feeling in the mind, the animal brain that is in “survival mode” when the eyeballs are focused has a chance to relax and you can enter a deeper state of meditative thought. Thanks for the great interview.
