This new episode of The Collection is a must-see for Peter Frampton fans and vintage guitar lovers alike, as we are treated to some of the coolest vintage guitars (and their storied history) by one of the greatest musicians of all time.

Gibson, thank you for not censoring the involvement of other brands in this series. Fender Stratocasters are just as important as our Gibson Les Pauls, and we all love all guitars!!!

This is so good. The look on Mark's face at 38:52 when (it looks to me) the totality of holding Phenix hits... Amazing stories and a fantastic conversation.
  • @83surfer83

Peter Frampton's guitar playing is as recognizable as his voice. He also has a joyous stage presence.
  • @Aprilseahorse
I love it when players of this caliber are willing to sit down and share their instruments and their stories. As in Peter's case, I can see that passion is real. It is 100% relatable. Rich, poor, famous, or a nobody, we are all sripped down to just 1 thing. The love of music. At that level, we are all the same. Thank you, Peter!

I bought my first Gibson Les Paul in 2020 and started showing signs of IBM about a year afterwards. I got a confirmed diagnosis in November 2023. You try your best to figure out how to make it work with playing guitar. I’ve changed all my electrics to use 8s. I suppose I’ll end up being a slide guitar player after a few years of this disease. I do believe in keeping hope that there will be a treatment. Always a fan of Peter Frampton. Keep on rocking. 👍

Peter Frampton is one of my all time guitar heroes. I was in junior high school when Frampton Comes Alive came out. I can’t believe how long ago that was! That album still stands out! I was lucky enough to see Peter in concert 4 times over the last 10 years. Each time he sounded inspired and put on an incredible show. It brought me back to being a 14 year old kid in Germany listening to that live album. It was magic.
