I see what you’re saying but I’m in college and am learning java. On my own time I’m learning html css JavaScript and friends (jQuery, react) and SQL. Along with Wordpress. I want to know some web development even if that’s not my path. It seems like something developers should just know nowadays. But I get overwhelmed and like you said have less to show for it at the end of the day...

I learned Ruby, I have the foundation down - but there's not much I can build with it without knowing the Rails framework. Which, in my particular case, would really be helped by knowledge in JS. My question: Will learning two programming languages so quickly (though, not simultaneously) confuse me? Will I start a line in Ruby and end it in JS?

I am learning C and C++ at the same time and I dont find any difficulties in learning them simultaneously. But I tried to learn Python along with them and my brain just overflowed.🤯
