Best cover of the Screamin Jay Hawkins classic. CCR have many great songs, a wonderful band to explore.
  • @byrnez2755
One of the greatest rock-n-roll bands every and one of the greatest rock-n-roll vocalists of all time.
  • @n3wsymtl
CCR is the kind of band people don't recognize the name, but know 10-12 songs of theirs. Incredible band. Incredible.

This is one of the best versions of this song. CCR has always been one of my favorites. John Fogerty has one of the most unique & recognizable voices around. They don't have a bad song! Huge list of hits! "I Heard It Through The Grapevine", "Proud Mary", "Fortunate Son", "Down On The Corner", "Green River", "The Midnight Special", "Susie Q", "Born On The Bayou", "Travelin' Band", "Run Through The Jungle", "Sweet Hitchhiker", "Bad Moon Rising" etc.

It was early 1969, I was 19 years old in a barracks on Da Nang airbase Vietnam. I slipped on another fellow's head phones and listened to CCR I Put A Spell On You for the first time. It moved me deep in my soul and still resides there today 55 years later.

A fabulous group!! So many big hit records from 1968 to 1972. Seven of their Singles were #1 Songs here in Canada. Loved them! John Fogerty lead singer Guitarist songwriter and producer. Brilliant man!!

I love CCR, his voice is unmistakable and that gritty vibe they have is perfection.

CCR is one of the best bands ever, at least 20 classics. They were a hit making machine for their 4 year existence.

You two should check out "Born On A Bayou" by CCR. John Fogerty will convince you that he was born in the swamps of Louisiana when, in fact, he had never been there when he performed the song. He said that he just felt like he was from the area. I am glad you discovered this great band, and you have many fantastic songs to react to and enjoy. I love your authentic, real reactions.

Their version of "Heard it through the grapevine" is excellent, too!!!

CCR These members had played together since 1959, first as the Blue Velvets and later as the Golliwogs, before settling on Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1967. The band's most prolific and successful period between 1969 and 1971 produced fourteen consecutive Top 10 singles (many of which were double A-sides) and five consecutive Top 10 albums in the United States – two of which, Green River (1969) and Cosmo's Factory (1970), reached number one. The band performed at the 1969 Woodstock festival in Upstate New York, and was the first major act signed to appear there. Creedence Clearwater Revival

Creedence definitely put a spell on you, as they did to us! Saw John Fogerty 2006 NYC, he was as back in the day🎸
