After realizing I really dislike my major (computer science) I've decided to switch to environmental science. I've always been passionate about preserving the environment and social justice causes. Thanks for the information!

Please make more Environmental Science videos 🥺 I feel doubtful that I took it because everyone around me keeps telling me that I should’ve taken nursing.

This video was so helpful! Everything was put really concisely but all the right information got across. I’ve been worrying a lot about what I specifically want to major in and where I’d like to pursue that major and this video definitely got me further along that process, thank you.

Thank you so much, Alice! I am currently waiting for the college acceptances result from several of my dream schools. After watching your video, I found I really like this field of study. Glad to hear that Bing has a lab that is shared with Cornell cuz if I didn’t get into Cornell, I will go to Bing! But overall, THANK YOU !!! And good luck on my college acceptances !!!

Thank you so much for the insight!! I'm getting back my college acceptances now, and I'm aspiring to major in env science. I was getting a bit worried about the whole blended/remote situation, but this definitely cleared things up and gave me hope! With love from NYC <3

I'm an undergraduate from Environmental Engineering (B.Eng) from UII, Indonesia, and what Ms. Alice says about every university is different on their own curriculum is true as much as I believe. For example, if we're studying in a tropical country that has around 30 degree Celcius, the technologies taught often use a system that is relevant to the same temperature. Other than that, if you're studying in a country that is still developing, the curriculum will match the system and technology that suit more low-maintenance cost such as DEWATS WWTP instead of more complicated one. I also have seen the curriculum taught in Russia and some northern countries, and I saw a lot of them consider technologies that are more suitable to the snowy or low temperature's degree. So, before you choose where would you study about Environment, whether in Engineering like me or more like Science part, be sure to research what you are implying on environmental study. Where would you apply your knowledge in the future?

Amazing video! I'm really confused between if I should take environmental science or geology... They both seem great but geology has a lot of hype and I hear no one talking about environmental science. This video was indeed helpful. Thanksss
  • I’m exploring going back to school for Environmental Science & had not considered that programs would be so different. This is an extremely helpful video 💜 thank you so much

THis is the first video i watch on the subject, and it was very helpful. After 6 years of studying Pedagogics, i got traumatized and dont feel like working with kids anymore. What i want is to save the planet form the human plague or do my best in that domain. Hence, i was thinking about, according to the careers you mentioned, ''encironmetal policy and governance''. I want to be the kind of person who makes them change the law. WHo goes to businesses and puts a leash on their actions. And also goes to municipalitites, schools, hospitals and changes the way things are done. Propose new ways of doing things, Put regulations etc Do lectures/seminars/interventions to raise awareness in schools, universities. So what is my career and how do i find schools? Frgot to mention that i am a greek 25yearold and have a 3month old baby with a companion-father of baby, who is a PhD computer scientist looking for a post-doc in the US, also i struggle with ADHD and light depression. hah. good luck me.
