Upon arrival, the size of the fire appeared to be significant and the situation was complex. The fire mainly raged in the insulation of the roof, which made extinguishing it extra challenging. The team had to decide quickly: extinguish the fire immediately or get the cows to safety first. In a well-coordinated action, they chose to temporarily suppress the fire and evacuate the animals. With the help of thermal imaging cameras and an aerial platform, the fire sources were identified and systematically tackled. The firefighters worked methodically and calmly, eventually bringing the fire under control.
When the smoke began to clear and the flames were extinguished, relief came. All cows were safe, the fire was under control and damage was limited thanks to the quick and effective efforts of the team and staff working on the farm. This incident reminded us of the value of teamwork, courage and the tireless efforts of emergency services. Thanks to their actions, a larger disaster could be prevented and both humans and animals could breathe safely again. With a sense of pride and satisfaction, the firefighters returned to their base, ready to take on the next challenge.

Ik ben onder de indruk van de leiderschapskwaliteiten van Han, volgens mij deed hij het helemaal perfect en wat belangrijk is, hij bleef nuchter. Verder inderdaad weer een prima beeld van hoe zo'n inzet nu helemaal prima verloopt waarbij het mij wel opviel dat deze boer kennelijk de brandweer niet trakteerde op koffie, zoals ik tot dusverre steeds wel heb gezien. Het team is duidelijk erg goed geoefend en prima op elkaar ingespeeld. Daar kunnen de brandweer Gelderland-Midden en de gemeente alleen maar blij mee en trots op zijn!
