Today we play our first challenge in Dome Keeper where we have to gather 200 Iron, for which we utilize the Iron Worms. Not just utilize, but create our own factory for iron production.

Yes drones are super useful on iron delivery, especially with the packager gadget because they can take bundles of 7 or 12 at a time. Although a good argument is made for the orchard as well, max level fruits provide a crazy boost to digging and movement speeds that will get you to the deeper jucier deposits faster.
