  • Timestamps: 0:00 Hello and Welcome! 1:17 When hanging a plant to dry, is it ok if the buds are touching? 2:16 I'm hanging huge branches, should I just hang the whole plant? (Large outdoor grow) 6:02 Should I dry in my tent to control the environment better or in my carport? 6:47 I live in a humid climate, should I take as many leaves off as possible before hanging to help reduce the risk of mold? 8:31 My weed started smelling like hay while drying, will the hay smell go away or is it too late to fix? 11:05 How did you deal with your tent being too moist due to the humidifier issue? 12:51 Is using a wood moisture meter when drying useful? 15:35 Does the size of the plant affect the dry time? 17:51 How can you tell when your buds are fully cured? 20:09 If you over-dry and have to rehydrate before curing, does it reduce potency? 21:36 My plants are drying too fast, should I raise the humidity and extend the dry time, or just jar it for curing earlier? 24:35 I'm drying in a tent, do I need to transfer to a tub before jarring? • Thank you once again! I wanted to add that the first 3 days of drying are very crucial for setting the tone. In my research, you need some leaves on the plant for proper off-gasing. Keeping the light and dehumidifier air off the plants while drying will prevent premature drying. Some people disagree, but humidity packs are only for after the cure is finished. These are the things I've learned. Failure to perfection.... as always, research your research! Thank you!!
  • I just started drying about 5 to 6 lbs.. my conditions are 60/60, so this information is phenomenal

I put a white grape in the jar if it's too dry and don't have a boveda pack. That way nothing wet is touching the bud and it just releases moisture really slowly though the grape's stem hole

Thank you for the feedback!!! I continued my drying process and luckily there was no mold. They are in jars now curing and there doesn’t seem to be too much damage to the terps
  • I absolutely love these Q&As. So much good information, always. Thanks, Jeremy!
  • Dry and curing feels like a final exam. Everything you learned has led up to it.
  • Talk about great timing. I just started drying the last plant in my most recent grow yesterday. I've asked myself most, if not, all of these questions at one point or another. What a great video. Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge! 🔥
  • You have helped me greatly. These videos came right on time as I was just harvesting with all these questions. When you said dry 60/60 I was concerned but now my harvest is drying out absolutely amazing and I have you to thank for that. Your advice was perfect.

another excellent FAQ. great topic. been growing 3 years now and this is still the hardest part to be consistent on. some of that is due to being in phx, az but its certainly a balance! and i can confirm you will get better with time on it. lots of fun tech stuff to help us automate some of it but even still those need tweaking to make sure you stay consistent. sometimes low tech is a winner. cheers dude! love all the knowledge and info ! transformed my grow and got me growing veggies in my veg tent
  • You have single handedly elevated the conversation for all of us who follow! So grateful to BAS! I'm looking forward to many more years to come.
  • He's right about south eastern Michigan 😉 I dry in my garage in late October early November the highs are around 55 to 65 and the humidity is about the same. I still use a humidifier to keep it at a steady 60ish
