DISCLAIMER: these are just my thoughts, some of them might only be disturbing based on how i interpreted them, so just take this selection with a grain of salt
had to bust out the oldies for this one, which made me realize that the new season is actually not that disturbing (other than the family episode bc i HATE the family episode i HATE the twins oh my GOD) also this one isn't censored and i'm not planning on making a censored version bc like,,,, that's the whole point. anyway, please enjoy my dears! :)

  • The entire “eating healthy” episode is so fucking creepy. I think what really gets to me is the idea that the duck can tell he’s in a catatonic state but can’t do anything about it, even as he’s being eaten alive and can fully feel it.

Honestly, wouldn't be upset if the entire family episode was in here

Both Lesley screaming in the transport episode and yellow guy hearing her voice at the end of the episode terrified me

5:24 "we're still dancing in chains." which means no matter how much the group moves around or tries to escape or find the truth, they'll always be stuck in this nightmare, stuck in chains, just as lesley is. (there's a staircase that leads to a floor above her)

The cannibalism scene in DHMIS 5 is the most visually disturbing, but if we’re being honest, the most disturbing thing in this show (to me) is the second act of DHMIS 6. I see the whole bit with Red Guy as a reflection of life, an endless stairwell of moonlit light and and endless flood of people who are all the same. Red Guy stands out among them, with personal dreams, and not only that, but creativity as well. Watching this man suffer from missing his friends (unless you believe the MatPat theory, then this statement isn’t true) and the trauma from episodes 1-4 is just so outright disturbing to me. Watching an isolated person try to open up and express himself before being booed off the stage for being himself is way too real for me. I both love it so much and am deeply disturbed by it.

The scariest thing about what Lesley said during the final is that she can also be one of the people “dancing in chains”, just playing her role like the other characters are

Tbh the entire "eating healthy" episode freaked me out and gave me an icky vibe.

6:16 yellow guy screaming and crying in fear like that in the background of this whole scene is the most disturbing and sad thing ever
  • To me the family episode was the creepiest because you couldn't really tell what the twins deal was, the atmosphere was heavy and creepy, also the puppets were just nightmare fuel
  • Rewatching the older series alot of what disturbed me back then now feels tame, probs cause of how desensitised to disturbing things I grew to be. However the scene where Yellow ate Duck alone in the dark in pure silence still haunts me. I can handle cannibalism with chaotic music but when there's just silence with darkness, that's my weakness. Scariest moment from the new series? Hmm...
  • I’m very proud of the DHMIS creators. They evolved their characters and plots and I always loved their series. They were always creative.

I swear, every time I watch the ending of episode 6 (Web series), my jaw drops. The music, Roy's heavy breathing, Yellow Guy sobbing his eyes out, the teacher's screeching and yelling... It's amazing.

DHMIS somehow manages to capture a very unsettling feeling of doom that you can experience right along with the characters
  • The scene where yellow guy shredded the book scared the shit out of me when I first watched it. Partly because I was high, and the fact that I had been thinking about a scenario similar to this for about a week and seeing it being portrayed in the show scared me shitless
  • @lunacy3
4:17 The scene of the lady screaming before yellow guy gets hit by a car will forever haunt me
  • @Skychannel547
I would’ve put the whole family episode in, the entire thing gave me a weird feeling the more I thought about it
