An air conditioning company put out a video advertising their product that we don't endorse. But they used our videos and likeness to promote it.

If you don't agree with their false advertising you can report the video.

  • As a rule of thumb, I never buy anything from a company that uses a robotic voice over. If they can't afford to pay for a real voice over, then it's probably tat that they are selling.

Just FYI: The scam video has 100 likes and 5000 dislikes. Anybody who thinks removing dislikes from Youtube was a good idea deserves to get scammed!

The fact that a creator as large as you has to go this far to resolve an actual fraud like this is just yet another failure of YouTube to provide tools and features for “us and you” and continue to just feed the corporate interests. Meanwhile the usual suspects are out there abusing automated copyright tools to take down videos totally out of their legal rights blablabla
  • Man I hate this stuff. I've had clips from my own videos edited into ads selling fake or dangerous stuff also. It's been a few years since the last time thankfully. I was able to get most of them taken down quickly with a DMCA complaint for the unlicensed commercial use of my footage.
  • It's been removed now. Hope these scammers will suffer for this, at least financially.
  • Scammers be everywhere, I’m sorry this happened. Hopefully it gets resolved soon. I’ve been binge watching your content lately as I’m home sick with a bad sinus infection that’s turned into a ear infection. I just wanna personally thank you for the relaxing feel and educational content. Much love
  • The video has been removed "This video isn't available anymore"!!!!😁
  • @scotia7566
I still can’t believe how hard it is to have these scams taken down. YouTube should be able to act quickly to protect content producers as well as the public.
  • @GadgetAddict
Have you considered a copyright claim? The video could be nuked within minutes if done through the YouTube Studio. Considering they're using your content in a misleading and commercial way, it seems like a copyright claim would be a lawful way to take the video down.
  • Scams have become a daily fact of life. Anyone who grew up with swamp coolers, knows their abilities, but also their limitations, and disadvantages. This little coolers being promoted as "air conditioners" are a full blown scam. Thank you for alerting people who may be vulnerable to such dishonesty. Other youtubers have provided verification that they do not work as claimed. These are products that should be taken off the market. I would recommend to anyone to do their research before buying a product.

Happy to see that garbage has been removed...
  • @wtechboy18
"This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Tech Ingredients" good job sir
  • @thromboid
Funny that when this happens with an ad, YouTube are "working on it", but if it's a content/copyright strike with a regular video, it's instantly pulled, no questions asked (AIUI).
  • @OnHoldAt50
I WAS GOING TO REPORT IF FOR YA, BUT YOUTUBE TOOK THE VIDEO DOWN. Congratulations, mission accomplished. Now I want to see a few of your videos, because this one stayed on my landing page for like ever.
  • It's so rare to find integriy these days. Love your channel and will certainly recommend.
  • @ShroomDay0117
I KNEW this video was coming out. I couldnt believe you would endorse some crap product like a fake air conditioner. I'm glad you spoke up about it.
  • The irony with Youtube making it so hard to protect this channel, is that it's exactly this kind of channel and you, that make Youtube worth while. Thanks for all you do. We love you and your team for the gifts of knowledge you bring us. Why does it takes tens of thousands to complaints. Should it now take just one? The person who's image they are stealing? I'll help by reporting this video now. Hey good news. It's down :) .
  • @derffurwood4820
I clicked on the link but got the following message: Video unavailable - This video has been removed by the uploader. I'm glad to see the scammer got the message.
  • So sorry to hear this about the paste fraud. I saw someone complaining about “not receiving” the product in the comments of a recent upload. Stay strong, your reputation with me is strong; I love your content and the work you do to prepare your videos.
