The lesson here is never say to the bank that the person who issued the check is dead.
-
James Hong, Hollywood's go-to Asian guy who is either a villain, a mystic, a mystic villain, or a villainous mystic for 7 decades. His career is so prolific with over 600 roles since the 1950s. The man is still with us, thankfully, at 95. An absolute legend.

That "ow" after the pistol whip will forever haunt my dreams.
-
The heroine of this movie fails every step of the way in this movie: her client is killed, she loses out on a paycheck due to her own stupidity, she gets the drop on some bad guys only to take them right to her apartment, she gets several henchmen and cops killed, is once again too stupid to figure out the police chief is in on it, and lets the macguffin get stolen upon which she just gives up. This movie seems to flout every narrative convention in the book. It’s almost like an anti-movie

She was made executor of The Joker's estate after he died so that's how she got his clothes.
-
The ability to pull off a nun hoodie, baseball cap, blonde braided ponytail... Plus a beard - at a bank to cash a victim's check. Balls!😂
-
Honestly, "cant-o find-o" Spanish made this whole thing worth it for me. I haven't laughed that hard in a while.
-
"....and James Hong who has been in everything that has ever been made." 🤣🤣🤣 You killed me with that one!
-
"Nahhh, I've had a life time of hard drinking, cigarettes, and regret. I'll be fine." Ain't we all? LMAO
-
It's too bad it wasn't better, as it was rare for a film in that era to feature a woman in a lead role in her 50s. Sad side note, she was rushed to the hospital just two days prior to this video due to a fall down stairs.
-
4:20 The entire run on being the executor to get the check cashed is comedic gold! "I decree that the money goeth to me!" I honestly don't know why Hollywood hasn't tried to snatch you away from Canada, Mark. 😂
-
The goofy "ow!" as she gets clocked at 9:11 is unintentional gold
-
The “ow” after the head hit should have its own cult following tbh
-
Sometimes the self-inserts are more entertaining than actually funny, but the executor bit made me laugh. Especially the weird little grunt at the end, lol.
-
This feels like an anit vanity project. The main character is just so pathetic and gets pushed around by everyone and wins nothing at the end, but they're still somehow the centre of the whole story
-
"I declare the money goeth to me" is my new favorite movie line of all time
-
Every scene featuring a blow to the head in this movie are just epic. It's like they filmed the actors doing a half-speed walk-through of their scenes and the editor accidentally stuck them in the final cut of the movie.
-
4:07 Not sure what I love more… the slouchy hat made from a baseball hat and shorts or the fact that Mark owns a svelte purple jacket.
-
So no one’s gonna point out the bartender is Mr Bentley from the Jefferson’s huh?
-
I actually like watching the trailer on DVDs after I watch the movie, I don't know, I guess it's fun to judge how they advertised it after I've seen the final product 😅
