I think August is the cutest name! And Auggie is an adorable nickname, and double fun since his birthday is in August! :D And it’s also two syllables! Perfect!

I think that Duncan wanting to name him Frank is so cute but his full name could be Franklin and then he could be Frankie! Franklin Smith Ballinger would be an awesome name!

Duncan’s philosophy: “if I say Frank Matrol enough, they will learn to love it, and name the baby that.” Not the worst idea, honestly.

I babysat a Sebastian whose family called him Bashy which I think has that cute feel youre looking for!

I was friends with a Sebastian in high school and everyone, including teachers called him Sebby. He was a really fun guy and totally not like the crab (except for when he literally auditioned to be Sebastian the crab in the Little Mermaid school play.....) Edit: My best friend of 15 years is named Jamie and her cousin (a boy) is also named Jamie, AND my favorite teacher was named Jamie so that’s a special name to me :)

I can't believe you didn't think of "Jimothy"!!! It's perfect! An "Office" throwback but also combines 'Jim' and 'Timothy'...
