A Montana grizzly bear attempts to retrieve an electrically charged, road-killed deer. The deer is electrified as an experiment to protect hunters’ game kills and, in turn, to minimize bear-human encounters.

  • Bear went home , revised his physics notes , came back and passed the test.

1:08 This is fascinating to me because the bear is just lying there, possibly for hours, just pondering the situation and how he can solve the problem. It’s like he’s thinking “What’s different here” and then sees the battery and wonders if he removes that if anything will change. Very intelligent animal.
  • The third time, after he disconnected the battery, the way he was checking to see if it was gonna shock him reminded me of how I used to be as a kid after I’d unhooked the power to the electric fence.😂 Even though I knew FOR A FACT that it had zero power going to it, I still had to barely touch it and yank my hand back really fast bout eleventeen times before I crossed it…you know, just to make sure.😆😂🤣
  • I LOVE when the carcass is swinging back and forth, and the bear is backing away every time it swings towards him. That was freakin awesome! Thank you!
  • Bear smells battery “this smells like human shenanigans” knocks battery loose.

In a similar experiment, a sheep carcass was electrified using the same setup. The bear got zapped a few times, batted at the apparatus from a few angles and pondered a while, eventually figured out that the battery was the problem, sent it flying, and made off with the sheep.

That was incredible 😳 Persistent doesn't even begin to describe them!! We need to add unbelievable patience to that as well lol. I love when after he was shocked twice, the camera shows him laying there and you could almost see the wheels turning in his head. I just about expected to see him drawing a diagram to figure out how to win the carcass. I loved it!!

He is absolutely adorable! I love bears. Terrifying in certain situations, adorable in others and always very smart.

This bear now knows how to disable electricity thanks for causing the apocalypse

This just shows you how intelligent they are based on their actions and mannerisms. They are wide awake mentally and cognitively. A terrifying animal worth every bit of fear it puts in us humans.
  • Just to show you how intelligent an animal really is. Honestly this beast is smarter than some humans I've witnessed in my life.

Just more undeniable proof that bears are just as intelligent as anything. You can see he was absolutely going to have that deer no matter what it took to solve the problem. It's amazing how he went right for the battery after getting lifted enough times.

I love how the bear taps the deer and runs away testing if it would still shock him lol. Such a smart animal!
  • Could not stop laughing at how smart they are. Watching him anticipate the shock. Lol
  • I like how the bear just starts going off and tearing down the whole set up. It got tired of playing around with it😂
  • @Awallacethegoat
Damn that’s scary how smart this bear is considering it’s size, strength and power
  • My god, bears prove to be higher of IQ than most of my friends. Food is a great reward.

Amazing to see it trying to figure the puzzle out. Not gonna lie, it was both incredibly interesting, and terrifying to see nature's Terminator learn.

That's a good looking bear , looks very healthy and smart, I also respect all wild animals, because I think about the fact that they survive out there , whether it's hot , cold , raining, bugs, just bad environment , but they they survive.
  • Bears like "You taunt me... do you realize I'm a EFFING BEAR!"
