i Swear To GOD!! Starswirl is like, the Pony version of Dumbledore!!!!  think about it

I liked how the enemies were creatures who used magical songs. It makes the "High School Musical" premise a lot more tolerable. Plus, their songs were the best part, hands down.

I thought the movie was about Dash... o~o Rainbow Dash Rocks

1:55 I think the idea that they were going for is sunset shimmer was, well, shy. The whole friendship concept was still really new to her, and she could never be sure when to and when not to speak up or intervene, and considering how in the 1st movie, she said "I don't know the first thing about friendship" and that the main 6 were pretty much her only friends, I think its understandable that she would be really, really nervous about loosing them if she messed up somewhere without realizing it. (As well as the fact that she probably didn't want to play in front of the people she tried to enslave)

Ok, so I've had to do some minor edits on my review of this movie...coz ...you'll see why. lol x

This is the first of your reviews I think I've seen, and I really like how simultaneously concise and quick it is. There are moments where you point out obvious fanservice/fangasm is obvious, but at the same time you don't really put down people that enjoyed that part of the movie (which is a trap a LOT of pony critics fall face-first into) and put it off as more of a guilty pleasure, which it totally is. TENOUTTATEN, now it's in my faves.

Love the intro. Coolest. Guitar. Ever. I really like how they've developed Sunset Shimmer so well. I'd go so far as to say she has the best overall character arc in the series.

Y'know, if you think about it, Starswirl's the go to dude because all this crap happened about 1,000 years ago. 1,000 years from now, Twilight Sparkle will be the one all the history seems to involve. "1000 years ago, Twilight Sparkle banished the changelings. 1000 years ago, Twilight Sparkle destroyed King Sombra. 1000 years ago, Twilight Sparkle meteor smashed Tirek in the face."
