hearing pyro say "waffle house" within the first 10 seconds was whiplash, he's not supposed to know
  • I love how he is shocked that Ohio has 27 waffle houses and acts like thats a lot but when he goes south he would realize that there are 27 waffle houses in some random ass town in Georgia alone, not even a county.

As a southern American I can say that waffle houses are something special. My favorite thing to tell people about is the waffle house disaster index. Basically the way it goes is that if something happens that somehow puts a waffle house out of active business, then you're dealing with something of biblical proportions.

The most disappointing thing is that nobody pointed out the legendary waffle house index that actual national organizations use to measure the destruction left by a natural disasters. Green being that Waffle House is open, yellow is they're on power reserves, and red which is just "Waffle House is closed"
  • As a southerner, hearing Waffle House described as a Midwest fast food chain made me cry a little on the inside
  • One time I got picked up by a guy in a gas station, and he took me to Waffle House. The employees were out front smoking and they all knew him by name. I then realized why, he was their dealer. They all bought weed from him and then continued their shift. Good times.
  • As a southerner, the Waffle House index is genuinely one of the best ways for us to determine whether to evacuate or not in the case of a major storm or hurricane. If hell itself isn’t open, then there’s going to be something way worse outside of it.

Eggs in display photos are genuinely spray glossed to look more fluffy and thick. Food did fake graphic promos way before video games did in the states.
  • So Waffle House is meant for Truckers and travelers, that’s why it’s 24/7. Waffle House also stays open during disasters so they can help the community by providing warm meals if need be. Waffle House has a disaster index that was approved by the head of the national disaster response called the “Waffle House Index”. Basically the Waffle House has to essentially not be there anymore for it to close.
  • I completely agree with you on tiktok kids shooting moments caught on their cameras. If you think about it, filmmakers and soldiers of WWII would literally risk their lives capturing the events of battles. From D-day to the battle of Midway, it's clear that the people of that time have been through hardships, but that didn't stop the cameramen from leaving their equipment to dust. Anyone today would argue, "but it's all a conspiracy and they were just acting! They probably had the technology to shoot photo without a host!" But what do they know? Have they ever even met their grandparents? Have they ever even grow up using a vhs tape? What good is a thumbnail if the eyes are drawn to something doesn't relate to the video? If you want to make a reaction video, just make it obvious that it is. If you want to post about a funny moment, just keep it simple and record what started your initial reaction. If you move you camera to what is little of importance, you are doing it WRONG.
  • Nothing is more iconic than going to Waffle House at the middle of night with your dad and you come out smelling like nicotine and pot while talking about how Waffle House is underrated
  • If a hurricane is raging outside, seek shelter in a wafflehouse, they'll be open

That kid with the Piggly Wiggly hat eating a waffle with his bare hands while an angry woman is screaming at the Waffle House employees is just great lol.
  • (1:30) the thing is here, servers, server assistants, foodrunners, etc.'s pay is based off solely tips. If the food isn't paid for, the server didn't get a tip, which means everyone besides the chefs are getting less pay than they should that night.
  • I remember the waffle house near me would always have some random letter on the sign not lit up, and it felt like it was new one every week. They could never fix the sign completely.
  • I work in a UK McDonald's and anytime past 9pm is just homeless, high, drunk or all of the above just screaming "I WANT BURGERS" and just screaming random numbers. A UK McDonald's after 9pm is probably one of the scariest places to be
  • I've worked at Waffle House and had a register shoved at me. She literally walked in with lingerie on and flipped out over scrambled eggs. She later got pulled over that night right outside the store and we showed the cops the video. She was banned from the store. Crazy shit after 1am, literally a half hour scene

I had a experience at Waffle House where the silverware was dirty so we asked the waitress to get us some clean ones so she brought a hot cup of water and rinsed them in front of us and was complaining the whole time about her deadbeat boyfriend. Waffle House in Georgia built different fr

I live in the upper Midwest, so there's no waffle houses anywhere near me. The one time I take a trip to the south and go to a waffle house (just to experience it) there was a drive-by shooting outside where more than 6 people got injured. Average waffle house experience
