Tami Treadwell, chef and owner of Harlem Seafood Soul, brings the MUNCHIES crew for a night out in Harlem. First, she takes us to 125th street for some soul food at Melba's that's been "born, bred, and buttered" in Harlem, just like her. Don't just listen to us when we say the food is incredible; you can watch Tami start to dance after tasting six different dishes.

At Ponty Bistro, a late-night West African spot on 139th, she chows down on crispy tuna, lamb, and talks about their dangerous martinis. Plus, she gives a little secret on the best part to eat of a whole cooked fish.

After a blunt break, Treeadwelll brings us to grab some Jamaican food at King Bark on 135th. There we see how dense and generous the portions are. And if you haven't tried Ting, you better grab one there! Did we mention it's open 24hrs?

"After a good meal, you need a good blunt" - Tami is the G.O.A.T of the Munchies Late Night Food features
  • @chubbzay
She needs at least 1 episode a month, she does no wrong. Authentic and raw, she's the definition of Harlem!

We need Tami on an episode of Chef's Night Out - invite all her Harlem chefs and let loose!

I'm so glad she's doing well. In the past video it sounded like she was going through a rough time losing 2 of loved ones passing from covid. I'm so glad it looks like she's staying strong <3

Bless you 24 hr spots feeding the hard working peoples who keep the cities moving - y’all are loved.
  • “We eat scotch bonnet for breakfast”😂 Love her energy
  • I miss Tami she's always been such a nice person. I'm happy I've met her before. I used to work in Harlem for 13 years and she would pass my job. I remember helping her make copies of her food menus for her. I need to go back to Harlem and see her.

I like her attitude and that she likes seeing new faces in Harlem and people integrating more. But also, is protective of her community. That's how it should be. As an Asian American, 60% of the stuff I like, including food is African American and I want to be able to just go there and enjoy it all, even if I live in Queens (born and bred).

This woman's energy is just so wholesome and infectious
  • It wouldn’t be a Harlem tour without Melba’s ! They never miss

I like her. She's the auntie we all should have. You can tell she cares about people, she includes everyone. Just down to earth... You dont find these kinds of people often, so when you do you have to let them know you appreciate them.
