"My urgency isn't their problem. Their urgency is my problem" - Chris Do 💯

"Forget about trying to get new business. Just be out there to learn, to share, to create value." - Chris Do
  • This chat turned my world around. I have a new perspective and lots of new things to work on. Thanks Chris! So much good advice!
  • two quotes that come to mind after watching this video: “growth happens outside of ur comfort zone” and “if u fight for your excuses, you get to keep them” i’m an introvert who struggles to “just talk to people” but i’m also starting to understand that i can’t let the fear of being uncomfortable stop me from trying to grow. esp when i KNOW that on the other side of my fear and comfort and excuses lies the potential for sooo many new connections, friends, experiences, opportunities, clients, etc

Again... Chris always on point with his advices. The key is to observe, ask questions and connect.

First time viewer and JEEZ!!! I'm a Professional Mermaid who has over 2.5 million views here on YouTube but hardly anyone in my area knows I exist. I go into the city to run errands every week and never even thought to engage more with those I already come across frequently. Thanks for the eye-opener! On to listen to more videos! Bwahaha!

Most yoga places and small businesses like that in my experience would balk at $7k. Most think $700 is expensive.
  • @danpalacios
This totally resonates with me. Funny thing, I actually reached out to a local brewery recently about helping them out and now I'm re-designing their crowler labels. I used the exact same tactic Chris describes ("I love what you do."). The power of asking. Solid episode!
  • I'm only watching this 2 years AFTER the post but the information and teaching is still relevant and invaluable. Thank you Chris once again and Rebecca for being open enough to share your journey! Kudos!

I got everything I expected from this chat and a lot more. Just launched my agency, and I really needed to hear all of this. You guys - keep doing what you're doing, because there are people like me who not only look up to you as creatives, but really appreciate the input.
  • @rubenscheer
Thanks a lot again. I really appreciatie these shows. Especially this one. I have been starting for my own two weeks now and it freaks me out from time to time. Anxiety issues of getting clients or not. Thanks for giving hope to the ones struggling with this.🙏
  • @nzrmmd
I can relate to Rebecca. I am introverted and shy to put myself out there. As I struggle to do business development, I realize I need to make a change as well! Rebecca is such a good listener in this video. Such great insightful questions she asked. Thank you John, learned a lot from this video!!
  • @BeardTech
As an introvert: this is one of the BEST videos on real, authentic design client tips ever!!! This is awesome, raw and very, very, very helpful!!!!
  • @nematurd
@ Rebecca Heinemann, I'm 42 years old and went out on my own 2 years ago. I know exactly how you feel, and it's comforting to know I'm not alone in a world of 20 and 30-somethings creating startups. @Chris, great advice as always. Especially in the last episode when you spoke about speaking to people and becoming a listener. Gold!
  • I am about to turn 40 this year, i just discovered this great channel, can't stop watching, i bet lot of this content are changing many people's professional lives.
  • @ingx2
Love to see more of discussion with Chris & Rebecca! Straight to the point with questions & answers. no drag around.
  • Rebecca and Chris thank you for this series. This is so relevant to my current situation.
  • @profiAcc
Go out there and create value! Ask how you can be of service to the client! When you help them fix their problems they will be more than glad to pay you well, recommend you to someone or help in other ways - these are some of the things I've learned from Futur's videos, so happy I'm seeing the bright side of life. Thanks you Chris!
  • @BrandonMarchant
So grateful I found this. I’m a freelance videographer and this type of knowledge relates to anyone that runs their own business. Thanks for the advice!
