To avoid stable bug: 1. Dismount 2. Make Your horse Flee 3. Wait until it will disappear on the minimap 4. Enter stables (don't run)

The best horse in the game is in the one you like the most ✌️
  • @Bowie.
If they gave us infinite stables I'd probably own every horse. I love all their individual looks and traits. Even the plain ones perform fine enough to use.
  • More stables and outfit storages would really increase the player base, and extra income from a business perspective. You give us the ability to buy and keep everything, we’ll buy everything. GTA you can have 100’s of cars and 20 different saved outfits , which I do, and still have cash to spend, and do in fact spend when new stuff comes out. I wish they didn’t abandon RD2O , it has so much potential 😓

im so happy you still post rdo content. its the only thing keeping the game alive for me
  • @NatureXwars
No doubt about it, those Mustangs are just the best bang for your buck & they look very nice too imo. The Chestnut Tovero in particular is still overally my favourite horse in the game.

I've owned around 700 horses by now (I know shame on me, I blame the limited stable space) and pretty much every saddle. I learned that if you know how to ride which horse you're good with any (handling, how to look at their health&stamina etc.). After my nacadoches on "best horse" phase I'm now happily using saddles that truly look like a cowboy saddle and dressing the part too, so much more fun and immersive. I love that the new mustangs are giving the mustang breed more love tbh. Just have fun with the game and the pretty horsies <3

The lack of bravery attribute is so interesting to me. That even without coding in a specific bravery trait, the game just sort of manifests this behavior in your horse. Like with 5-6 defined horse attributes, and 4-5 other variables (bonding lvl; cleanliness; timing; etc.) the game designers didn't have to code a bravery trait; the behavior happens at random based on the combination of these other inputs and they don't need to write the parameters for it. Almost like sentient AI that decides when it does or does not want to buck you.

My first horse is always a $500 mustang 👍 but after I rank up I usually prefer the turk with the upland saddle.
  • My favorite horse used to be my Breton. Perfect bounty hunting horse (in fact, it WAS a bounty hunting horse. Came with the bounty hunting update). It never ran from gunfire unless it took too much damage, of course. I used him for resupply missions for moonshine, Cripps Trading, bounty hunting, etc. After the Wildlife update (the one with the legendary animals and Harriet, I forget it’s official name), that horse, which I had used for countless missions, had its behavior totally changed. I know it, cuz I used to be able to get a supply bag on his back during a shootout almost every time. Now? Never. He ALWAYS runs as soon as reinforcements arrive and start shooting. It’s even worse for bounties, which have even more gunmen. I’d be chasing that horse with a bounty on my shoulder for a mile, lol. Rockstar busted my favorite horse. Something about the Harriet update completely changed his personality. They never addressed it

Wish that bravery was a real parameter, but all horses have 1 at the start. Bonding increases it, and the more bonding you have it has more of a feeling like “Oh, I love this owner, I must get him to safety, no matter if I die!” as if the horse could talk.

The rank 20 Gypsy Cob ( black and white one ) and the rank 20 Breton ( the steel grey one ) my two Favourite horses to use by far. Can run forever as long as you tap the analogue stick every 10 seconds or so. I don't run the Nochadochis saddle cause I personally think it's ugly as hell, however the black bounty hunter saddle that you get towards rank 20 I think? It goes with any horse, and I like to use the collector's saddle to have 7 outfits on my horse

Can confirm what you said here about the speed. I did a test between the fastest horse with race handling (the free thoroughbred) and the cheapest horse with the lowest speed. Both with Nacodoches saddles and hooded stirrups. Basically used the biggest by-road racing test: from the house at Brandywine Drop to the back end of Gaptooth Breach. Did this also during the day due to the lower chance of wolves appearing. The time difference was close to 20 seconds from start to finish, and that is without leaving the road (meaning no shortcuts).

The mustang with the nagadoches saddle is an unstoppable force
  • @sword0115
I used to use the Mustang horse like the one on the thumbnail but I bought a Leopard Appaloosa for 18 gold (I think that was the price but it's been a while) because it's my favorite looking horse in the game
  • Love my silver Kladruber! Not the fastest, but he can run forever, won't immediately buck me off around predators, and is an absolute tank in gunfights. Plus Kladrubers just look so cool! The convex face profile is super unique, and I love the bigger, thicker horses, which the Klad is without being too thick. But the Norfolk Roadster is my second favorite. Although not the tallest, it's also a thicker horse, is the fastest in game, and i am one who still believes in the elusive "bravery stat" based on my own experiences, and my Roadsters are always my bravest horses. Shout out to Criollos and Mustangs though, also really great horses if you don't mind them being on the smaller side. They're zippy and have lots of nice colors.
  • @DonDeLem
As an RDO noob who bought the game a month ago, I've been using the Thoroughbred they give you when you buy the Ultimate Edition. It doesn't have max health or max stamina at Lvl 4 Bonding but it's close enough for me. The Speed stat has max bars too with the Nacogdoches saddle and Hooded Stirrups. Ik this doesnt necessarily matter but I like having the stat bars high

I can’t tell you how much your vids have helped me get started. Just a little level 10 right now but grinding away…. Thank you!!

Did multiple tests too. Agreed with everything that said. Came to conclusion that the reason arabian feels faster is because it is small. So that animations are shorter and faster. Morgan breed feels the same. But i like that feeling, so arabian is my choice anyway. Also it feels like arabian is more agile in dodging trees while sprinting through dense forests. But this claim needs testing. Choose any horse you like and you’ll be happy. Some people don’t like arabians cause they are small, but im ok with that. I also like turkomans.
