Technically, what Heath was doing is called a 365-day Extension by-reason-of Retirement, to his existing Non-O Non-Resident Visa, however many expats do call it a retirement-visa. And please note (very important !) that it EXPIRES, if you leave the country, WITHOUT first having got a Re-Entry Permit from Immigration, which costs B1k for a Single-entry or B3.8k for a Multiple-entry Permit. ! Your agent can also help you with that, or you can visit the local Chonburi Immigration-Office on Soi-5 off Jomtien Beach Road. As someone who needs to be able to jump on-a-plane at short-notice, in case of family-emergency (very aged mother), I always get the Multiple-Re-Entry, many other expats I know don't need it since they haven't left the country in over a decade ! Horses for courses !

Just to add, that most of these visa-agents can also help you RENEW your home-country passport, when it's close to expiry ... you do have to pay for it, but they really can help make your expat-life easier/simpler ! Which leaves you more time for eating-out, or admiring the local-scenery !

Hey Heath, saw this video when it first came out and am revisiting it this afternoon. Just got to Pattaya last Wednesday and took a walk past the sheer madness that is the immigration bureau earlier this afternoon to begin the process of getting my visas in order. Needless to say, I've set an appointment to see Lucky on Thursday. Thanks for the great info!
  • thanks Heath, great videos. I love Jomtien, been there a couple of times and your videos bring back some fond memories. I'm heading to Thailand on 31/01, my Thai GF and I are going to Hua Hin this time cause neither of us have been there. Keep up the great work and stay safe and happy always. All the best to your lovey lady Lampoon
  • Thanks Heath great camera work and down to earth presenting. So informative even the little details like the Bhat bus are often ignored by other vloggers. Would your Agent be able to set up a first time Retirement Visa as well. Thanks.

  • Thanks for sharing, yes very informative video, just subscribed (I saw your other video about the condo apartments with Brian Jack's), stay safe and enjoy the weather (I'm jealous as it's cold and miserable here in dreary old England πŸ˜‚) regards from England πŸΊπŸΊπŸ‘

IMO the agent is worth it, retirement (one more week 😁) is about getting away from all the red tape stress. Hope to be there in 6 months or so. Thanks for posting.
  • Awesome videos and what a lovely couple. I would love to set up a nice reggae bar on the beach down there. Looks like great energy about the place
