About SWISS (from Wikipedia):
Swiss International Air Lines AG (short for Aktiengesellschaft), colloquially known as SWISS, is the flag carrier of Switzerland, operating scheduled services in Europe and to North America, South America, Africa and Asia. Zurich Airport serves as its sole hub and Geneva Airport as a focus city. The airline was formed following the bankruptcy in 2002 of Swissair, Switzerland's then flag carrier. The new airline was built around what had been Swissair's regional subsidiary, Crossair. Swiss retains Crossair's IATA code LX (Swissair's code was SR). It assumed Swissair's old ICAO code of SWR (Crossair's was CRX), to maintain international traffic rights. It is a member of Star Alliance and a subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group. Its headquarters are at EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg near Basel, Switzerland, and an office at Zurich Airport in Kloten, Switzerland.

About Airbus A330 (from Wikipedia):
The Airbus A330 is a wide-body aircraft developed and produced by Airbus. Airbus conceived several derivatives of the A300, its first airliner in the mid-1970s. Then the company began development on the A330 twinjet in parallel with the A340 quadjet and launched both designs with their first orders in June 1987. The A330-300, the first variant, took its maiden flight in November 1992 and entered service with Air Inter in January 1994. The slightly shorter A330-200 variant followed in 1998.

The A330 shares its airframe with the early A340 variants, having two main landing gear legs instead of three, lower weights, and slightly different lengths. Both airliners have fly-by-wire controls as well as a similar glass cockpit to increase the commonality. The A330 was Airbus's first airliner to offer a choice of three engines: the General Electric CF6, Pratt & Whitney PW4000, or the Rolls-Royce Trent 700. The A330-300 has a range of 11,750 km or 6,350 nmi with 277 passengers, while the shorter A330-200 can cover 13,450 km or 7,250 nmi with 247 passengers.

That “Australian” guy was definitely a kiwi
  • I think, the „extra special thing“ with swiss is exactly the understatement and the normally extremely professional and personalized service, the way you don‘t have to care about anything, they just got the feeling for what is appropriate for you and what not! a thing, I‘ve never ever experienced in other first class products!
  • @jetstream_
Got to fly SWISS business and I got to agree, the food is their best asset. A great variety of options and they just taste so creative. It’s really the hard product that needs some sprucing up for sure
  • As a flight attendant in the US, I love seeing your travel videos! It’s very interesting to see how other airlines do service and what type of aircraft they use. Great video! Also, I love Dubai! Have fun there 😃
  • @Genauxbr
Swiss International Airlines is one of my favorite! It’s so classic and perfect. Love your video. Congratulations.

I flew with SR (now LX) ZRH TYO in Business call as a tour leader, the most amazing experience in my life. Most of the crew in Business were Japanese and they changed their Japanese traditional dress frequently, and before we landed, I got a call from the captain, there was a tlx from the station manager to inform me that the cherry blossoms bloomed the day of our arrival!

I've walked by that HON/First door hundreds of times and wondered if the hallway would immediately scream first class or not - thanks for solving that mystery! Also, yeah, even with short flights SWISS tends to have decent catering on intra-Europe business from my experience, so it seems to be an issue with the caterer. I recently had two SWISS business flights and there was considerable difference between a flight coming from ZRH and a return flight coming from somewhere else. Not just the food but also what came with the food (tray size, cloth napkin vs paper napkin, etc.). That said there was a difference in the plane as well, though minor (A321 vs A321neo). I'll keep an eye next time I'm on SWISS business RT with the same plane. And lastly, that complaint about their selection in the entertainment system is spot on, as well as the internet connection. Even if I expensed the WiFi, I had to limit it as I don't think I could've easily justify having to pay CHF 120 for two of the CHF 60 sessions.
  • Great video Dan. I love Aviation myself and the fact your self funded you don't have to justify the price :D Your videos are a great way to help people get deals. And also show the rest of us mortals who may not ever get to experience it what its like.
  • @miniDrew4
I had their kosher meal on a flight from ZRH to ORD, and it was top notch! Even had wine to go with it. Also, their service is great. The flight attendants were always right around the corner for anything you needed. Also a great selection on Scotch.
  • It sounds like it was wonderful flight. The presentation and taste of the cuisine is essential to a first class experience. Of all the reviewers of first class and business class, I love yours. The timbre of your voice and your positive spirit resounds in your reviews. Thank you.
  • I'm stuffed just watching you eat all that food! 😀 Love, love, love Zurich airport, and Switzerland.
  • @zh123456

Your video is so well planned, shot and edited with very detailed info , it's so lovely to watch. Thank you !!!
  • @stj53
Fun to fly along with you. Thank you for the wonderful video experience.  As an American southerner, I appreciate hospitality (i.e. Morocco) and wouldn't expect that from the officious Swiss.
  • @FraserAtSea
Wow - this is SUCH a gorgeous First product - I'm so impressed at this one!
  • It sounds like the man behind you was from New Zealand! They say their 'e' vowels like an 'i'! People often confuse our accents but the vowels are what you need to listen out for! (from an Aussie speech pathologist haha)!
  • @ItsJager
Editing on point! Beautiful review of the Lounge and all the flights. Another great review. 🙏🏻
  • Lovely SWISS flight, one of my favourite airlines, they have a very respectable international economy product too. I would have preferred more visual privacy from other passengers in First Class, to max the experience. That is a beautiful outdoor area at the lounge, I enjoyed KLM's outdoor terrace at Schiphol this past September. Excellent service in their Business Class AMS-YVR. Seat 1K was a great pick because they leave the basket of treats right there, stroopwafels forever.
