Landlocked property, easements, and shark attacks!!!

We had the opportunity to ask attorney David Holmes about landlocked property ...is it sellable, is it able to be financed, and how to go about getting a legal easement.

David Holmes, of Holmes & Eubanks, has been practicing law in Slocomb AL since the mid 80s. His office is located on Hwy 52 in Slocomb AL.

Also just a reminder...land, farms, homes, & homes with acreage...that’s what we do.
We have buyers looking for property in our area from all over the country. Our marketing is nationwide as well as local. This helps our sellers get top dollar for their properties. More buyers means more demand and more competition.

We have been extremely busy this year! But need listings. Our land inventory is low right now. We have buyers looking for property that isn’t currently on the market.

If you’ve considered selling or buying, give us a call today.

If i get an easment of necessity does the county have to cut a road.
  • I have an easement but the local building department wants me to pay them $10,000 to use it because they lost the paper work to it. What can be done ?
  • My grandfather purchased a house and garage in 1972. I inherited it in 2016. Now the city is claiming I only own the build and not the land. They are trying to tear down my garage that is 6ft from the house... The house and garage were both built together in 1920. I have a lawyer involved. But I'm trying to learn more in case they miss something. If they tear down the garage, I won't have a driveway and will be landlocked... Any help would be amazing!
