Joeys 'space play' was the longest and best joke in the show. Half a season of pretentious actors and directors, a romance story connected to it, scenes implying it was some worthy character drama and the beautiful 5 second payoff in the last scene of the entire plot thread.

They broke Ross and Rachel up too soon, and kept them apart for so long, that nobody cared anymore at the end when they finally got back together.

Chandler had the most character development throughtout the show. Big props to David Schwimmer, who pushed that his girlfriends should be diverse because the show was so white.
