A good tip is this: imagine your right shoulder is aligned with the center of the lane. This applies to right or left side steering wheel vehicles. I align my side view mirrors with the rear corner of the vehicle. This gives maximum outward views . I used the shoulder with center of lane alignment with tractor trailer, bus, and standard vehicle.

I am a beginner and your video is very helpful. I am having trouble how to stay in the straight lane. Just couldn't figure it out because my instructor never thought me.

I love this video. I just got started driving a few months. I already got my permit. I've already gotten my permit, and I'm about to go take my road test next Wednesday. But outside of my road test, I'd be on the road, and sometimes I feel swirly, but I'm trying hard. I am on my way to get my CDL Did I mention I have a disability Cerebral palsy

This helped a lot. I think i was gripping the steering wheel too tightly and every now and then I drift to the side

Thanks for the video. I have been driving for 30+ years, accident free and very confident of my driving skills. Until 5 days ago, when I rented an OPEL CORSA, driving from Nice to Paris, France. The car steering wheel kept trying to turn at random times. I thought that it was lane departure waring system moving the car away from nearby vehicles or the metal road barrier. After about 700KM (435 Mil) , and the road all but clear of other vehicles, I was now convinced that there was something wrong with the vehicle steering. I stopped at a truck stop and tried to call the company's support, but the provided phone number was out of service! Frustrated, I continued with the journey to Paris. Then I noticed something. On the dash display console, two green lines appeared whenever the car was properly centered on the lane, with no more ghost steering!. This video has taught me an important lesson on how to keep the vehicle centered on the lane. Which, as I learned in France, makes it easier to keep going at 130KM/H (way more faster than my local limit of 100KM/H)

My next driving class, I going to make sure I relax my hands on the wheel. Guess my hands has been too hard on it that’s why I have been drifting off the line. Thanks for the video, hope it helps.

another tip i might add is to look for TIRE MARKS on the road from vehicles using the road. if there is then try to align your wheels to that tire marks and just follow, that simple.
  • @justicejelks9320

I wish I had such a calm and thorough teacher when I was learning. What scares me the most is the crazy drivers. one never know who will cut in front of you or tailgate you.
