THE WAY I ABSOLUTELY THREW MYSELF WHEN MS CROCOMBE SAID “i know you don’t like to talk about it but sometimes we need to learn from our mistakes don’t weđŸ‘â˜•ïžđŸ‘â€

I adore how I WAS trash for Mrs C even before I started watching Bernadette's videos. This is like the merging of two majestic worlds.
  • “Infinity War is the most ambitious crossover yet.” Mrs.Crocombe: Hold my tea.

my late grandmother was in service and started as a kitchen maid, and when she left she had rose to rank of ladies maid. she past away age 97 in 1995
  • This is honestly the geekiest/dorkiest/niche thing I have ever been excited and jealous about. I was smiling from ear to ear for you guys! HAHA

I'm a historical interpreter like Mrs Crocombe and her staff (except I do 16th century Scotland rather that 19th century England) and I have to say, this video made me tear up just a tiny bit. My work is often very busy and it's really easy to get bogged down and feel under-appreciated. Having you so very clearly Get It and be so appreciative really brings comfort to my heart <3 I'm also super jealous that she gets to work in a fully equipped 19th century kitchen. What I wouldn't give to have the equivalent for my period!

"horses are the period accurate version of cars" oh my god I had to pause the video.

Oh, I had no idea, Mrs. Crocombe‘s cooking was a regular feature at Audley End House. I thought, they just did the occasional video there. Now I definitely want to visit 😄

"And I'm proving myself, aren't I?" "You are proving yourself, yes. You are, Mary Ann. By making another [cake] without any salt in it." Cue the YEAAAAAAAAH from Won't Get Fooled Again
  • Who else was waiting for Her to say “For this recipe you will need.”
