Dude, I had mine unboxed and fully opened ready for the build in less than 10 minutes.

front derailleur hanger is riveted to the frame (I was hoping I could remove it for a cleaner 1x setup)

My saddle clamp is too wide for any of my saddles. The side cups won't sit deep enough in the hole, so the saddle rail holder slot sticks out too wide. When the cups are fully inserted into the seat post they are 40mm wide, but my saddle rails (All three of my saddles), are between 36-37mm wide (between their two rails), so the saddle rails are too narrow to fit on the clamps. I emailed Trifox and asked for help.

Have you managed to install the internal cables? Are they easy to feed through the Frame? Any idea if the headset cap is similar to the sl7? Thanks

Do another video after it is all built up and give your review on how it rides and how it fits. Also how tall are you?

Hi @Travis Pyle Are you done building this road bike? do you recommend this bike? I don't see many comments about x18, I'm in doubt between x16 and x18. Could you comment or make a video? what worries me is still the fork failure of the x18 like the sl7

So this is what I did to fix my saddle clamp issue I used this trek part in the link below (note I haven't completed the build yet, I'm new to hydraulic disc and have been busy riding outside on my other bike). but this clamps down perfectly in the seat post and appears to hold my saddle perfectly. although haven't ridden it so who know what will happen out on the road. (also I had about 3 emails back and forth with trifox and that yielded no help, I sent pictures of the issue, Trifox did respond to each of my emails (which is nice) but it just didn't help at all). part I'm using: www.trekbikes.com/us/en_US/equipment/cycling-compo… Also the specialized SL5 saddle clamp seamed to fit perfectly and hold the saddle super tight, but I tried this off a friends bike, so he couldn't give it to me and I could find any availability from specialized. I believe this ebay part might work but I didn't buy it because of the long lead time. Part I also think would work: www.ebay.com/itm/302721145535?_trkparms=ispr%3D1&h…

There are aftermarket saddle clamps of a similar clamp style that look significantly higher quality than what came with the Trifox X18 that I may try... google "J&L Seat Post Saddle Clamp Kit+Ti Bolt for Specialized-7*9,7*10&7*7 Round Rail" ... this part might work and looks sturdy, where as the clamp that came with the X18 not only doesn't fit but also looks very cheap and not sturdy.
  • Looking forward for the build, seen another on YT that got it fully build without pedals at 7,2kg, really lightweight. youtube.com/shorts/6NSnh8D9QiE?feature=share Have you weighed the bike parts seperatly? Got 2 Hongfu disc frames coming in at 7,7kg with pedals and lightweight carbon wheels.
