Theyre really making a big issue out of this when its nothing compared to other more important issues we have

Won't comply to criminals ever. And they better have bicycle infrastructure in place for bicycles or I'll sue them. Period

I've ridden motorcycles all my life. I am currently 72. Few years ago a simple accident almost killed me, when a car forced me off road. I was traveling really slow? But when I laid down bike onto side road I discovered it was a thin layer green with rocks underneath. Both my prosthetic knees were tore open. So I switched to e-bikes. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT .. But I kept thinking, this is a fine line between an ebike and a motorcycle. Now I see that line disappearing. Ebike license ? Ebike registration Ebike insurance Etc. etc I hate to say this but more new regulation will require more police which will need more $$ which will require more regulations. Etc. etc. etc. I've seen this with drones. Same thing I'll keep riding until I can no longer afford it. Guess I should start shopping for walking shoes...will that be next. ??

With charger I use a timer. If I know my dead battery takes a little under 2 hours u just set the timer for 2 hour. I don't like leaving it plugged in.

Wonderful content mike,im a 68 year old newyorker who's been riding ebikes and e scooters since 2009 before they became common, ive saved a few thousand or more dollars over the years getting every were in NY,no insurance, reg, free parking anywere or crazy car repair prices and no more tickets from cops every other day. I will go nuts without these fun toys. Please keep bringing these needed videos..thanks sir

Mike, regarding charging your batteries, I've also heard that you should plug the charger into the wall, then into the battery - not into the battery first, then the wall. Does that make a difference in your experience?
  • @3:17 - I was thinking the same. No one about emissions. They want to say money by avoiding those gasing up a car or ride a crowded transit bus. @7:45 - Wow, she said it must be parked when charging.🤣🤣

Hi Bro thank you for information ! There a few reason why we experiencing Ev,.EB & EScoo, one is manufacturer's errors, reason two is not using it properly & Not following instruction on what they own ! Brother I I'm planing to have EB or Escooter what you recommend ? Tnx.

What's with the 3 amazon ebikes you've listed? I've never even heard of those companies

The volume of the news channel is way too low. Thanks for making it easy for us to stay updated though. Commentary is good too.

the biggest danger with the batteries, is when you charge, if you unplug your charger when your battery is charged, you shouldn't have any problems.

Let's not forget that pre cv19, New York City was confiscating all ebike s they could find, allegedly they had thousands of them in a warehouse. They lifted the restrictions during the lockdown because they needed food delivery.

These laws will not work well. That you battery has to apply to code has to be the problem of the seller or company which imports them. And charging in a box is a good idea but some batteries are build in. Damaged batteries shouldn’t be used. That’s common sense. Refurbishment doesn’t say anything about the quality. That you have to use a wall plug is a good advice as you can easily overload multi plugs. Simple solution for the dangers would be a mandatory fire alarm where you charge these devices. Even the best battery can be internally damaged without your knowledge and may burst into flames. This is simply an inevitable risk of these batteries no matter if we are talking about your cell phone or an eBike. Sodium batteries will eliminate these problems in the future anyway.
  • @djwhiteflour
Six minutes in you mention NYC fire marshalls knocking on doors. I believe the UL certification is only required on new sales, not on existing bikes, so that scenario won’t happen there, SF sounds possibly different. No idea how they would enforce it though.
  • @dempoy
Here’s an idea: use your phone alarm set it to remind you to disconnect your battery from the plug when full

How many people have died of fentanyl but they aren’t doing shit about that. Or how about how many people that committed suicide because of covid lock downs . My thoughts they are trying just to squeeze people for more money.
