Shonel struggles with the toll her cancer journey is taking on her relationships with her husband and kids.

LIFE ON STANDBY is a 9 part docu series that follows the journey of Shonel. A successful stylist, wife and mother of two children diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer at 36.
We take an intimate and unique look through Shonel’s own eyes as she juggles treatment, family, covid and the emotional strain that comes with cancer.
However what makes this story truly remarkable is we get to witness her full recovery, to the point where she is now cancer free!
The series documents her incredible spiritual experience that explores the levels of human spirit through healing all aspects of health, overcoming immense fear and being propelled forward by hope, strength and love in a bid to save her life.

  • Hugs and prayers. I understand i too am a triple negative breast cancer survivor. It is hard, emotional, and treatment is so hard. Let friends , family and your husband help. Talk it out with your counselor. Be fierce. But cut yourself a break. You are going through a lot.

  • Hello Hon. I am on my 2nd breast cancer. 15 years clear from the ER+ and PR+. Still clear.... but.. now have triple negative. Mastectomy done! Aborted chemo due to bad response and have just done 15 doses of radiation. Keep your head up, Shonel! You are not alone.

    Steroids do make some people agitated with loved ones, don’t beat your self up.l think you are very strong and a beautiful person.good look for 2021.

    He is finding it very hard too my daughter couldnt take any more of my complaining he loves you try to look after him and the children by trying your best to except your potential prognosis i am trying too its very hard heavenly father is with you jesus can heal you and give you peace pray to him to help you

    Sorry that you have to deal with relationship problems at this moment of your life and people close to you not understanding, they should be there to support you, I mean as it's totally understandable if yor behavior is difficult, not normal or that you're angry and depressed when you're dealing with all this. This cancer is about you, not them. S Hope you have been able to discuss this and they understand that you being different is not really you and how important it is that they're there for you, it's okay you feel like you do right now.
