沖縄が返還になり数年後旅行で行きました レンタカーで嘉手納基地の海側の国道を走っていると 当時最新鋭のF -15イーグルが 頭上を発進して行きました 格好よかったなぁ

15% in and I want to say...CAG 1 and 2 (blue/black). Japan has 2 carriers (2BG's). Yes, I know the 15's are not carrier AC, but it does smell of highly trained/qualled SRO's that Xfer to all forces and they have AC for them. It may just be 2 Gen's that control the mainstay of it's AF and have AC for them. Note: The US has selected planes (painted) for the top-tier commanders that deviate from auth paint sceams. US Navy...One plane per BG, unless??? Such as a Helo or any other AC fit's the requirment.
