I had a dark blue 72 Vega back in my high school days. My brother helped me drop a 3.1 v8, that came out of a Buick Skylark in it. It was pretty quick. I have always loved the styling.! This one here is particularly sweeeeet! 6.1L Vrooom vroom

My neighbor had one with a big block 396 - he put it around a telephone pole.. this was @78... Took the engine out and installed it in a 72 Chevelle as he was still in a body cast... It was fun watching him work on that Chevy with one arm fixed to the body cast - yep neck brace to his beltline... Asked him if he needed any help - no I don't was the reply, I fuck myself and I will fix it better than before... He hit the pole because he lost control of the car in a turn - he didn't have the rear end set up right... The 9" was not finished being build yet.

The bumpers are done nice, that's rare.

My mother has a '71 Vega Kammback in burnt orange with the woody shelf paper on the side she bought from Selman Chevy in Orange, CA. The thing used as much oil as it did gas but it kept going and even managed a CA to NY and back trip in '79.
