Why is Young Sheldon better than The Big Bang Theory?

I agree honestly. Young Sheldon had much better writing and character development while Big Bang Theory lacked a lot of that and mostly depended on gags to run the show.

what's kinda sad is that the upcoming sequel to young sheldon, ''Mandy and Georgie's first marriage'' is likely going to be a bit like the big bang theory, it'll be recorded infront of a live audience and there will be annoying laughs every second, however the writing might atleast be a bit better

Good video Jay! While I do dis agree I respect your opinion, I love both shows. While I do enjoy Young Sheldon, and it will make me laugh a casually, mostly Missy, Georgie, and Meemaw. I don’t consider it to be a comedy, it’s a family drama. But there are some episodes that can be hard to watch. For the characters I like the Cooper family and a few side characters. Sheldon’s mom Mary though, I can’t stand her. She is the reason Sheldon became who he is, in the Big Bang Theory, and she gives him what he wants, it’s clear Sheldon is her favorite child. She takes her family for granted and puts Missy and Georgie to the side, and even pushes her husband to the side. She is aggressive, arrogant, and selfish and not a good mom or person and yet she considers herself a good person. While a lot of the other characters can have their unlikeable moments but it’s understandable why they react the way they do. In my opinion I would rather watch the Big Bang Theory. Sheldon had a better character growth out of the four guys, he becomes a better boyfriend/fiancee/husband to Amy and he becomes a better listener to his friends. While by the final episode Sheldon still had to learn to become a better friend to his friends, it’s part of his character. Howard honestly doesn’t grow even though he’s married to Bernadette he’s still creepy. Overall while I don’t thing either show is perfect and can have they’re unlikeable moments, I do still like them. I haven’t been able to watch Young Sheldon a lot recently, But I would much rather watch the Big Bang theory. But I respect those whom like Young Sheldon more.

No its not. Hardly disagree.

I hate them both fairly equally. Both have incredibly annoying intro music, and both have annoying, unfunnily written characters. HOWEVER, yeah, I would agree Young Sheldon is slightly better because of the Dad and also Sheldon's siblings. Those characters were enjoyable to watch. The mom, not so much. She was annoying because she came across as strict and cold and overly bible thumping.

I personally think that Young Sheldon is one of the most overrated sitcoms.
