That ending! Both heart-warming and infuriating
  • The audience will watch anything once they get to know the characters.
  • "I don't know who keeps buying these cut rate Makita tools for the shop." Best line in the video.
  • This such a nostalgia trip seeing the Boxford, the clapped out Bridgeport, the gold plated Astroglide pot, and some real thick 70s smoke.

That hacksaw "timelapse" with lighter on the end. Marvelous 😂
  • I love that this Channel truly doesn't give a f*** about the YouTube algorithm. Whoever's AvE is he is one cool dude
  • It wasn't about the pen holder.... It was all about displaying the precious gift of sage brush from his precious Daughter. Well done Big Daddy. Well done..
  • Making a pen holder out of $125 of brass. Beautiful, simply beautiful
  • So my My dad teaches the elechicken trade at trade school. He has a length of 80mm dia. EN8 Axle Shaft in the shop. When the apprentice in class can't stay off their cellphones, they have to cut two, 1" pucks of the shaft using a hack-saw. Normally after that they rather leave the cellphone at home entirely than bring it to class and risk the temptation.
  • Gotta respect a man who can squeeze every last penny out of a tool before putting it the chuck-it-bucket.
  • @Yousitech
I love how he uses the drill to drill holes with the mill

We aren’t paying for the hour it took you to make this, we are paying for the 10,000 hours it took for you to learn how to make this in an hour.
  • I learned the This Old Tony way of cutting stock and i never touched a hand saw again . Figure it out !
  • I'm so proud of myself for not jumping ahead as the suspense was KILLING me. As a father of two daughters.... loved the flowers gift from your baby at the beginning and COMPLETELY understand the work/time on this project! Worth the wait!
  • @louisemon
There was me feeling stupid - thinking I don't know why I'm watching this - i have absolutely no idea what this part or thing is for that he is machining but I just love your vids so I keep watching.... most satisfying and heart warming end ever. Brilliant.
  • Until the last few seconds, I couldn't figure out if this was a shop tour of the empire of dirt or a This Old Tony video without all the talking. But the end made it all worth it!
  • Never noticed before, but even the old Bridgeport had to leave New Brunswick to find work.
  • That loose sleeve hanging low over a spinning lathe at 4:03 had me a bit nervous. I must be getting old. Stay safe, friend, we want many more years of fun two-fisted videos.
