  • My favorite thing about your new rig is that when you drive, it looks like Blue is driving to everyone else on the road πŸ˜‚

SUGGESTIONS: I think that you should have a long narrow window installed on both sides, say about 12-14 inches high and about 3 to 4 feet long, with a screen in it so that you can see outside and ventilate all at the same time. Windows that are not wide enough for people to get into, even if they break it, but big enough for you to sit up in bed on a rainy or snowy day to see out. Leaving your door open for ventilation is dangerous, especially since you don't know who or what could be outside. You should always lock your doors as you're heading in, and not as an afterthought. You really don't know who or what could be lurking nearby. You should always have a clear path from the back to the front, without getting out to drive or go to sleep. I saw where this lady had security cameras installed outside her van. You can get one that you can look at on a monitor that stays up or on your computer...and phone. If someone knocks, you can see. You can also see before you open the door. You can paint part of your vehicle a lighter color inside to brighten things up a bit...something light and soft on the eyes, at least in your sitting/sleeping and kitchen areas (around the walls). Just be careful out there. There will be people who would target you alone, just to get the vehicle. People aren't as nice and trustworthy as they used to be. I can't stress it enough, you need a clip-on bear spray canister that should be on your hip, every time that door opens and a small weapon on your person or in your vehicle...both when you're out walking. There will be nothing you'll be able to do to defend yourself if you get caught out alone and in trouble. Protect yourself. Love the build.
  • Blue looked so confused on the way to Walmart. He was like wait, β€œwhy am I on the diver side” πŸ€” πŸ˜‚
  • Get yourself a 12v electric blanket. Put it between you and the mattress. You'll be amazed at how warm you'll be.
  • @n8turelover63
The buddy heater is causing the excess condensation, when propane reacts with oxygen during combustion it creates moisture, raising the humidity inside. It then condenses on the cold metal surfaces. Congrats on your first night, your rig is awesome, looking forward to your future adventures!
  • @MrShadower2
It's actually really nice to see someone thankful for the simplest things that they have. In turn, it makes me extremely thankful for what I have. Thank you
  • @jenniferbyrd1970
Rewatching this video. I love the chaos of spilling water, dripping ceiling and burning hair. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  • @lifemyway200
Great to see you and Blue in the new rig! Few tips: -never use Mr. Buddy while sleeping. Dangerous for a few reasons. All the people you see using them do it while awake only. -ALWAYS crack a window with the heater running for carbon monoxide safety AND condensation -your breath causes cause condensation as well so a window always cracked for airflow will help. You don't want mold. -heat rises, so putting the heater on the floor helps better warm the space. Just make sure you have appropriate space around it. -heated 12V blanket to warm the bed. Can't wait to see adventures to come:)
  • I am afraid of propane too! I installed a Diesel heater in my van. It's so nice to have. Not scary at all. Stay safe Maria! Love the new rig!!

I’m 100% a introvert … I’m completely a loner. Don’t matter how many people surround me …. I’m a loner . This is something I dream of doing. I can completely relate to this woman and many people that do this. I dream of having the financial freedoms to do this .
  • @scotttan6377
I also vote for a rooftop vent with a fan to help lessen the condensation during the cold and heat and humidity during high heat. Having desiccant packs may help too. Heard your hair got singed. Your dad gave excellent advice.

Beautiful 😍 little interaction with your Mom. My mum was fun, lively and supportive. Lost her πŸ’” over a rare blood cancer under 2 years ago, so this put a smile on my face as your interaction brought me back to how me and mum were together. Stay blessed, hope the issue with your new vehicle is fixed soon. πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ part-time solo car-camper.
  • @themondem1792
Your mom is a gem, I'm so happy for you Maria. Goodluck on the electrical issues.
  • Been living in my Honda fit for 2 years now, 5 years total in a few other cars....I finally splurged and got the full set of window covers from weather tech....very good investment
  • @bluedeva
LED strip lights along the ceiling beams will look good. You can also get the silicagel condensation traps and keep them in the storage areas to help cut down condensation Congratulations on your new rig, bring on all adventures your, blue and po will have πŸ₯³
  • I can’t believe you caught your hair in fire. Thanks for all the laughs. Love your videos and your sweet dog.
  • @rubyqpublic
Have you checked the turn signal mechs inside the steering wheel shaft? If the landing screw mounting the signal lever wears thru the connector insulation the lever feels firm but the wires are exposed and will short when driving vibrates then into contact. Most common if popping multiple fused at once.
  • Your friend did such a great job on the cabinetry! I hope he gets alot of extra work and can charge more!πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜…
  • @PagodaRolls
I went from a tocoma with a truck topper to a van and I couldn't believe I could just walk to the back from the front without getting out...and the more room was I had felt like such an upgrade and slept soo good the first night..I can relate : )
  • @ThiaTruth
My heart is genuinely so happy for you. Your excitement is infectious. Congratulations ❀
