I'm glad you play these shitty games so I never have to thank you king

The run is one of my favorites, shame it was so rushed, there's an instance where the same track is used 3 times

I got one of these terrible need for speed ports in 5th grade when a kid gave it to me during secret Santa, literally the week he got it... I had more fun with the cover art than with the actual game, so I kept the box in my backpack for the longest time because it was too cool to throw away, but even as a kid, I felt like this didn't deserve to stay at my house.

I actually liked the 3DS/Wii port of The Run. The story was OK, handling and tracks were good, and the car list was OK.
  • One of my favourite part of Wii version of The Run is at one point of the story, the protag managed to take down a flying helicopter WITH A GODDAMN GOLF CLUB. It's hilarious yet so awesome i can't even be mad at it.

I love the content! I miss the original rat and would love to see some redesigns to improve on the new one, but as long as you are enjoying doing what you're doing, I don't have complaints. Nice vid!
  • I didn't play the Wii version, but I did play the 3DS version when I was younger. For the 3DS, it was a good game on a system where racing games were a somewhat rare sight. I was always fascinated with the story, especially since I was never fond of the one in every other version. Heck, I'd argue it's better.

Fun fact: this game on Wii has more or less the same review scores as the other versions 💀

(7:55) Correction; the car sounds in the game are from Slightly Mad Studios' Shift games, this is not the only times when SMS sounds were used outside the Shift games, well known examples being Gameloft's Asphalt (particularly Asphalt 6: Adrenaline and games that are based on Adrenaline), the Wii and Mobile (Android/iOS) versions of HP2010 and the Mobile versions of MW2012. As for the car sounds you mentioned; you're technically correct for what they sounded like; they are in fact the sounds for the Carrera GT and R34 Skyline in the Shift games.

tbh when i was a kid back then, i loved this game on the wii. As a 10-11yr old kid, you really dont care about the gameplay, and having these events like jumping that broken bridge were actually really fun. When i saw that scene in your Video, it gave me goose bumps because of the memories that came up with the game. It might be one of the worst need for speeds, but it still managed to be fun for my 10yr old underdeveloped brain :D
  • Car sounds are from NFS Shift 2 Unleashed. And Shift 2 Unleashed skyline sound was later reused by ghost games(2015, payback, heat)

Man as soon as i went onto this video i started crying and immediatly started conquering the state of maine
  • I was wondering about the music because it reminded me of the old stuff by Saki Kaskas and Rom Di Prisco, but I never thought that Mick Gordon of all people would be responsible for it.

The Porsche 918 Concept in the The Run Wii version of the game actually uses the Murcielago sound from Need for Speed Most Wanted
