So glad you featured someone talking about The Lightning Process and the symptoms of ME/CFS coming from the maladaptive stress response. I am 95% recovered by doing tons of mindbody work and most recently DRNS brain retraining program. It has taken me over a year but so worth it!! I only focused on this one thing and it worked.
  • @TheRoarWithin
Jodie seems genuine and lovely. I’d always assumed the lightning process was a scam. I’m still sceptical 🤨
  • @djbb7079
This resonated, currently 8 months into my journey post covid. Either I will find a way or I will make one.
  • @phliip7362
Thank You very much peeps!🙏 Given me a lot of hope in a dark moment.
  • @tomemery7890
I did the lightning process about 13 years ago. It worked completely, which amazed me because it had sounded too good to be true. However, I relapsed a couple of months later because of overwork and stress, and then wasn't able to get into the follow-up strategies they teach you to deal with possible relapses. It did have long-term positive consequences though, as I didn't feel as bad afterwards, which must have been due to my changed attitude to fatigue. I'm thinking about trying it again sometime, because I'm in a 6 month crash that doesn't seem to be going away. I would recommend LP, but you need to put in the work, because it's not easy.

Jodie's comeback story is so inspiring. Since coming out with my own recovery story using a similar neuroplasticity program, I've also met several people who fully recovered using the Lightning Process. I think the practitioner matters and it has to be the right fit. Jodie seems like a caring and informed practitioner. I do personally think timing also matters and removing oneself from external stress certainly helps (environmental, people, lifestyle, etc). As someone who tried everything (and saw top ME/CFS specialists who did help in some ways), for me neuroplasticity was my full ticket out. I continue to see more science about how Autonomic Nervous System dysfunction (including research supported by the OMF at BYU) plays a key role in this condition. For me, neuroplasticity really resonated with me since I felt like my fight-or-flight system was on level 11 alert. I think whatever modalities we choose it has to resonate. Thanks for everything you do Raelan to give people on the road to recovery options and hope!!

I loved listening to you Jodi ,I have had this for decades ,my mother too ,in fact I can’t remember as far back as a little girl when I wasn’t tired ,and it just got progressively worse ,in feb of 95 I was working many years in a supermarket and called my mom and said “ I can’t stand ,I can’t even stand “ I was always exhausted but could force myself to stand ,but this was beyond .She came and stayed me and I got better on Whole Foods but I was never cured .She spent fortunes on me: acupuncture, massage ,colon cleansing ,naturopaths ,etc .Back then there were no integrative drs .My problem now is coming up w the money to see one and get a full work up . My mother is a story in herself in that she got her BS degree in her 40s in substance abuse counseling ,a job she loved and got a wonderful state job running a men’s halfway house in Manchester ,New Hampshire and within a couple years she had to retire ,tjat was a long time ago amd she still grieves tje job .At tje time drs couldn’t figure out what was wrong w her so they guessed MS.As I got older I followed suit exactly like her with my health ,my tests would be fine so drs would say you’re depressed .Just to show you how bad it is I’ve been in line in a store before waiting to pay ,and I have to sit on the floor ,I reassure people this is nothing they can catch .I’m always leaning wherever I go .Supplememts help but I can’t stand them ,you end up feeling like the washing machine at the laundry mat receiving quarters ,I hate it !Eventually she and I got diagnosed w an autoimmune disease called Hashimotos, hypothyroid ,I was thrilled to have an answer only to be deflated when the synthroid they give you does nothing .I changed PCP which has helped mine doesn’t know a lot but is open minded and taking integrative courses ,my old PCP was terrible ,I’d describe my symptoms and she’d say I’m sorry to hear that and leave ,in other words you gotta live w it .Their training is atrocious. And I told her that when I left .I follow drjacob titlebaums teachings ,he has tje SHINE protocol : sleep ,hormones ,inf3ctions , nutrition, exercise as able ,and one thing he says is this is very treatable and talks about the hypothalamus running everything including tje pituitary which runs tje thyroid ,and it runs tje adrenals ( tje stress you mentioned ) and he refers to it as the hypothalamus blew a fuse ,That brings me to you and your training .,because I think it runs a,ing the same lines .Women tend to get it more than men they say ,and it’s possibly tje hormone connection ,and I was particularly interested in what you have to say on here as I think my thinking is obsessive ,I’m a worrier and it crossed my mind that it may have shut my thyroid down .I’ve been skeptical of this training also ,I think I’m always in flight or fight and how could I train my self to really relax ,I try to sleep and if I can’t I get wound up about it and then I really can’t sleep ,my mom amd I are both sensitive people ,this case has ruined both of our dreams ,and I was so obsessed about me fulfilling my dreams tjat I ruined tjem. She of course had to retire ,so she got hers fir a little while .I’m beginning to think this might be tje answer fir me ,although I’m nit sure I can slow down enough .I have bern to a million drs and spent a ton of money.I don’t work now but I am a landlord .I’d like to talk with you ,this has been hell on earth ,the typical overweight ,always cold and exhausted tjat goes w hypothyroid .But I think it goes beyond .Thank you fir listening .you give me hope .Raelan thank you fir this series ,you give me hope too .Sincerely ,Julie ,portland ,maine

Amazing video! :) The MindBody Connection is where it's at!
  • what i heard about stepping on words on the floor and 'choosing' not to be ill, as well as all the negative stories about being blamed when it doesnt work have put me off trying. my nan offered to pay for it a few years back n i turned it down because it sounded too scammy
  • @kathystoner5239
Great interview! I totally agree about hope! I did NLP with a coach online for a couple of months and I did see a little improvement, but in the end decided it wasn't for me. I still like the things I've learned! I connect more with the ANS Rewire and watching your interview inspired me to go back to using the brain retraining, thanks!
  • @areaman7725
I wish I could believe in this approach but it simply sounds too good to be true. I find your long-term sensible strategies for diet, exercise and sleep more convincing Raelan. But if the lightning process works for some people then it is great that it has been reviewed. Always best to cover all viewpoints to help with this difficult illness.
  • @RaelanAgle
Hi folks! Thanks for all the great discussion on this topic. It's great to hear about different experiences and have the opportunity share information. • @geoffreyhussey
This is really interesting, I'd never heard about this before and its great hearing about recovery options that have been so successful for people! I appreciate you sharing your story Jodie, thank you very much 😊
  • @masoudajami2153
Hello Ms Agle. I need to mention that I live in Iran the country under heaviest sanctions ,so I can't access such seminars to attend to.O would like to know more about the techniques used in lightening process to recover from cfs.I would really appreciate it ,if you preapre a way for people like me to get more familiar with the process. Thank you in advance
  • @lindalock5065
I did the lightening process in 2008 and in my opinion was a total waste of money. However, I didn’t receive any support before or afterwards. So maybe the course has improved.
  • Thank you so much Jodie and Raelan for this! I've recently connected with two people who've had incredible progress with the Lightening Process and I've been seriously considering trying this myself. Thanks Jodie for sharing this - now I'm almost certain I'm going to give this a try as well!
  • @dommccaffry3802
Many practitioners end up leaving LP and setting up their own version. My teacher has, and it looks like jason too
  • Where, where are the people over 50,60, with fibromyalgia and kids with it, like me! And can’t afford the Lightning Process, or any damn thing! You’re Great Raelan, but I just get upset some times.
